Question about Matt Parkman's conversation with Theodore

Can anyone answer this question or possible discrepancy? When Matt was talking with Theodore at the police station, he showed him his tatoo/mark and said that his powers started the same way, but that's not true - he had the ability before that Haitian guy got to him. So, I don't understand why he said that and what exactly was done to him??

Help me understand!!

A) He might not have fully understood his power until afterwards

B) The Haitian could've wiped his memory of ever having used his powers before. This is what it sounded like HRG wanted the Haitian to do to his adopted daughter, Claire.

C) By the Haitian wiping some of his memory of being captured and studied, it might have messed up Matt's internal chronological log.

D) Psychologically, being different can be tough to handle. Matt could be subconsciously re-writing the past in his mind so he can blame someone for his condition. He also started having headaches after being captured, so that would add to the motivation. The Haitian provides an easy target.

E) Matt knows this isn't the case, but is purposely lying to everyone within earshot for some unknown reason.

F) He wanted to create a sense of empathy with Ted, so he would trust him, and told a white lie to get Ted to open up.

There are other possible explanations. Who knows if any of them are actually correct.

Probably B and F--Matt doesn't have the personality (or the intelligence) to convincingly lie to enough people.

Yeah I just think that after the Haitian's memory wipe, Matt couldn't remember he already had powers. Choice C also seems logical.

Lately, I've been seeing lots of ties between Hana, Theodore, and Matt. Do we see a trio of Heroes working as a small team in the near future?

its very possible...i think they're starting to put the heroes in groups to see how they can cope with their abilities
