Default Discussion about Hiro's blog

I wanted to compare what Hiro was thinking about naming the sword from the following two posts, http://blogs.nbcuni.com/hiro_blog/2006/11/...kes_perfect.php and http://blogs.nbcuni.com/hiro_blog/2007/01/the_sword.php; what does "jikuutou" and "jiyuutou" mean? They seem similar, and it seems jikuu refers to "space-time" and "tou" means "sword", but what does jiyuu mean? "Hiro" states that it is a pun, but the "play on words" is sorta lost on me at the moment.

Here's a thumbnail of the two posts (click for original image):

the jiyuu (自由) means liberty sword. since he plans to call his sword jiyuu too (literally means play time) which sounds with the jiyuu (liberty), it becomes his pun.
