ew.com has posted an article about the return of Heroes. In the interview, there's a quote from Tim Kring stating that Claude was part of a "previous generation of heroes."

I think it's cool that there was a group of heroes before this current one, but if there was a whole other generation of superpeople, then wouldn't they have been discovered?

Kewl! This might actually be where the Deveaux Society comes into play in the overall plot. I'd be willing to bet Claire's bio-mom was part of that group as well Charles Deveaux - I think he had some sort of dream related powers like Sanjog.

EDIT: After reviewing the article I decided to compare the airing timeframe with my estimated airdates in my epispode guide. The flashback episode in question coincides with Chapter 17 "Company Man" which is the one that flashes back to explain how HRG came into posession of Claire. I'd be willing to bet HRG was involved in that whole earlier generation thing. And it could be a possible (possible) tie in for Claude being Claire's bio-father (I wonder - CLAude / CLAire - NAH).

If there was a previous generation of Heroes, maybe most of them just had the Heroes gene but never discovered their powers for some reason.

Of note are that Kring likes Quinto's performance as Sylar so much that he's gonna leave Sylar's defeat open-ended and bring him back later down the line in another season.

Also Claire's pal Zach will be gone before the season is done.

nice reference that claude is named after the 1933 Invisible man. Would have been better if his name was Griffin though.......................
