Charlie and Kumar go to.....Everywhere?

Jayma Mays (Charlie from heroes) and Kal Pen (Known best as Taj from Van Wilder or Kumar) have a new movie coming out called "Epic Movie". Pretty much a compilation/parody of movies like Pirates of the carribbean, willy wonka, xmen, harry potter, etc. The commercials have their funny parts but it looks like its not gonna be all that great. I think one of the funniest parts is that Darrell Hammond is going to be playing Captain Jack Swallows. Other than that, it'll probably flop.

Another entry into the parody series, then. It will take its place alongside Scary Movie 1-4, Not Another Teen Movie, Not Another Gay Movie, and Date Movie.

Financial successes? No.

Funny and recommended for watching? Definitely.

It might make more money than you think, Mathy. Date Movie did well, as did the Scary Movies. I love these parodies...

My friend saw Epic Movie and he didn't like it very much. I guess it doesn't really matter though cuz the movie made something like $20 million the first weekend.

I can't wait til the sports parody comes out. I think it's called "The Comebacks" or something.

i'll have to disagree. not another teen movie is fantastically hilarious. scary movie stopped being funny about half-way through the second one and date movie is actually unwatchable. i should be able to sue for punitive damages for having to sit through that one. and being that "epic movie" is made by the same people with the same crappy actors i will assume that it too is a great big heaping pile of dog doo. the writer must be good friends with the horrible english actor that plays the lead in both date movie and epic movie. the guy doesn't have a funny bone in his body yet plays comedic roles. awful. i'm starting to think that i should write a movie. this jagoff is probably a millionaire from writing pure drivel.

Lots of awful movies get made every year; sadly, many people do make money on them. It's a shame what Hollywood puts out every now and then.

I saw a bootleg of Epic Movie. I think I laughed maybe 3 times throughout the course of the movie.
