Just now I posted a message about "what happens to Niki". I clicked on the "Insert Image" icon and entered the web URL of the image itself "www....jpg".
But when I posted the message, the image didn't appear!
Is this feature enabled on this forum?
I'm not trying to "upload" an image. But the way "Insert Image" looked, I thought it would "embed" the JPG as part of the post.
See? Now hit the "quote" button and you should see how I coded that. Or you hit the "image" button to achieve the same effect.
Sorcerer:
Hmm, let me try it. Last night I did the same thing and it didn't work. Here goes:
As you see - or don't see - nothing comes up. Other than it being a long URL, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. I can paste the URL into IE or Firefox and it appears fine. Could you check the code?

Thanks for your help!
The URL above is the incorrect one, for whatever reason. The correct URL is "http://lh6.google.com/_VFB6areDlNU/RbEEUFDsR9I/AAAAAAAAACk/pk1XlfFES5M/s1600/today011907-02.jpg", which results in this:
Right-click the picture of Ms. Larter and choose "properties".

Sometimes if you can't post an image, it could be that the original source of the image has hotlink protection on, which prevents people from posting their hosted images on forums and draining their bandwidth.

Thanks for the info Sam:
What confused me was that by "Copying the Shortcut", and then pasting it in a browser, the photo would display. But when I was posting last night, there was a "blank". I asked because I didn't know if image posting was disabled..... or, if it wasn't working because of an image size limitation.
