I'm definitely gonna see it. I enjoyed the first one (it wasn't that great but I still liked it), and I think Rise of the Silver Surfer will be even better.

The Silver Surfer will be a huge comic fan draw. He is such an interesting character that if done right will make it an excellent movie.

Saw the trailer for it tonight during "Night at the museum" and holy **** did it look pimp as hell. They definitely pulled off the silver surfer look. You get to see a big huge chase scene between Human torch and silver surfer. Its sick. Can't wait. I bet you can find the trailer on youtube by now

I haven't seen the trailer, but I don't need to since I'll be seeing the movie anyway.
hmmm....Marvel has never put out two major comic movies in one year before. They're testing the waters...

Maybe, but I think it'll be a pretty successful test. Spidey 3 and Rise of the Silver Surfer will both do well IMO.

That is good for the fans, because DC will have to raise the bar and put out the first crossover movie with Batman and Superman.
 At least, were I the on the board of directors of DC (or advising them) I would be getting that movie deal put into motion quickly.

DC is gonna have a big 2008, similar to what Marvel's got in 2007. WW and The Dark Knight are both comin out in '08.

DC's worst problem is that they don't have a whole host of characters with the popularity of Marvel's lineup. Once you're through with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and probably The Flash...they're pretty much done. (yes, they probably have a Flash movie in the planning stages; I would).
....rerailing.... I'll try to view the trailer at some point (security settings at work prevent video files); most likely at a real movie.
