Peter, Claire, and Hero basically are safe since those three are basically fan favorites. The only way one of them goes would be by a contract dispute.

Peter learns how to use his powers from an invisible guy "Claude?" in future episodes so he'll be around... and Claire's bio-mom shows up and it is revealed in a later episode her relation to another Hero so she'll be around...

I agree that he almost certainly is safe since we have the spoilers about Peter being way more powerful by season's end. However, the Claude character doesn't prove it on his own, since Claude will appear in the very next episode.
