I think with the culmination of all the heroes, Peter is able to absorb their powers into a super superhero to stop sylar...his flame thing was the effect of him using all the extra powers...

To fight evil one must know evil. For as our good actions reflect in our actions, evil resides in the darkest part of our souls.
Yeah, I gotta add to this. We assume that is him turning into a bomb. It seems like the logical conclusion, but this show likes to dangle logic in front of us only to yank it away at the last second, using it as a decoy to distract us from what is really going on. We know he gets "sick" from being around just a few supers around the same time. Who knows what could happen if he is in close proximity to 8 of the supers at one time.
Again, the obvious choice is that he is the bomb, but there is a possibility that it isn't. Interesting thought.

"Your momma is so fat that she has an increased risk for diabetes and other health problems."
Well, one that is usual comic lore is that when one transcends beyond humanity, that usually means he will transcend beyond "human" desires. Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan is an example. Once you reach a certain level of being, humans looks like mere ants (slight Babylon 5 G'Kar reference). Human life really doesn't seem all that important, much like we humans rarely cry over the destruction of an ant mound. Transcending usually comes with the price of losing one's humanity.

Well, the idea is well-founded. By "raining on the parade" I was meaning that I wouldn't reveal what Peter's weaknesses would be even if he became transcendent.

I think his biggest weakness if he becomes transcendent would be losing his humanity, just like SOG said. However, I don't think he'll become a superior being for long. I believe that having all that power will burn him out before he can truly become adept at using them.
