I won't miss her. The character had lots of potential, but that's what she gets for trying to take down a multi-powered sociopath on her own. I think she was overconfident because of the ease with which she took him down at the high school. He improved his tactics and struck first.
At least she had the presence of mind to shoot herself so Gabriel couldn't take her ability.
Given Gabriel's known abilities, however, there were several other ways out of the holding cell that I have devised thus far. Unless MBG was standing around all the time, he was just sitting there, waiting for...something. Probably her to make her move or to study his erstwhile captor.

Good thinking Sam! This is a great idea for a poll question, since we've been basically arguing about killing off characters. Early returns suggest quite a few people were shocked over her departure...

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.

His brain isn't his commanding officer - Lois Lane in Season 5 of Smallville
This usually happens when you disobey your boss!
When I heard the sound of sylas hand trespassing the glass I thought to myself, for whom or for what are she waiting for. Just press the trigger! Of course I was thinking in Sylas head as a target to the bullet.
I agree with Mathsorcerer, she HAD potential. Do you ever read the comic Preacher, from Vertigo? The main character had the same gift Eden owe. And He brought Hell to Earth!
Now, She, alone, try to overcome sylas destructive powers. It was at least 1 ton of immaturity. I fell blue. The immaturity of Eden thinking, is counter-balanced by constitutively hyper-expressed will in Peter Petrelli and Hiro Nakamura. I hope next time when Sylas try to suck someone power, he will kiss the lethal blade of Hiro Nakamura Sword of Chaos . Ops! Now you just realized whom I am actually a fan of!

I won't miss her, but I think that her exit as it was creates a lot of storyline loop holes.
1. why didn't sylar do that before?
2. does HRG have a power that we haven't seen?
3. what his the nature and breadth of MBG's power?
4. There are a lot of other questions that her lack of development creates and it opens doors to slipshod characterization.

Given the fact that he can dampen/block psionic abilities from working and erase memories, his true ability must be some form of synaptic disruption. Its range has to be at least 25m, because that is approximately how far away Matt was from MBG when he was able to punch through. That, of course, shows that is is possible to overpower MBG, if you are powerful enough.
MBG's blocking ability is passive and always on; he doesn't have to think about using it. He does have to actively use the mindwipe, though.
Now to the question of MBG and Peter. Would MBG block Peter's copying ability, or would Peter copy the blocking ability and the two of them have a "feedback loop" blocking each other's blocking ability, or would Peter simply copy the blocking ability and nothing else happens (the blocking ability cannot/does not block itself)?

Sometimes, after reading some of your posts, I start bleeding from the nose. You think things through, doncha?

Yes. It is my gift, and my curse.
I have always tried to think how superhuman powers would interact with the "real" world, as well as with (or against) each other. I always try to find new and interesting ways in which superhuman powers can be used; I use real-world physics as my beginning point and go from there.
