The Problem with Hiro fighting a Dinosaur...

First of all lets make this clear. The only way for Hiro to fight a dinosaur is to go back in time. Now if Isaac paints the future and he paints Hiro fighting a dinosaur then there is something wrong. Because hiro is in the past and not the future.

If we were to say that this were true, this would mean that Hiro could never time travel at all. Let me explain, if Isaac paints the future for Hiro going into the past then that means that hiro has his OWN timeline that he can't go back in time with. Pretend that Hiro stops time, well his own timeline would be him walking forward two steps but then backing up two steps. However, in this show, time works differently than that. Hiro can go back in time and see himself. And he can also stop himself in time.

I was thinking that maybe that isn't a dinosaur but it is Uluru. I know it looks different but haven't the producers already changed some things around during the show?

I don't think he's fighting a real dinosaur at all. When I first saw it I of course thought "wow, Hiro teleports back in time?" But I figured that may be a little much even for Heroes, not to mention a time travel story like that would probably cost too much...so I tried to think of a more logical explanation, and the only place you see dinosaurs today are in museums. Then another light went on and I thought what if the sword is an ancient sword, and as such is housed and displayed in a museum. Hiro goes to a museum to retrieve the sword, and while having fun with it and being his usual self, he begins posing with the sword in front of a displayed dino exhibit.

thats a good idea. However the painting still looked like he was fighting a dinosaur. The background (I believe) is totally different from a museum and as we know, Isaac's paintings come out exactly the way they are painted. Lastly, I don't know much musuems that have a dinosaur with skin and everything on it.

I think it probably must be the museum, it could just be like a recreated life sized model or something. Besides, even if they wanted to go there with him going back in time, I don't think ANY TV show has the budget to make dinosaurs without them looking laughably bad. If this was a movie, things could be different, but I just don't think it's possible on a TV budget

I think this is right...As you can see, the background has nothing to do with a Musuem. This is what I don't understand.

You can also see in that pic, Hiro looks like he is about to fight a dinosaur. His mouth is wide open and everything.

It is a museum! That is how he get's the sword at a museum. He doesn't go back to when dinosaur's roamed the earth.

or a movie set

or a painting behind him

or it's haloween and he's in some weird haunted prehistoric house

it's not a real dinosaur

A museum can set up an exhibit with that kind of background easily.
