It's frikken sweet. It is definitely a nice way to play. I've actually broken into a little sweat playing the sports game. Zelda is awesome, I don't know if you're a fan, but if you are it is totally worth having for the wii. The rest of the games are meh so far, all the good ones will start coming out next year. The only drawback is that the controls dont work exactly the waay they do on tv ads. The control isn't as exaggerated, they are much more subtle, so you can get away doing a lot less than you think. Like in Zelda, you don't have to swing like you're swinging a sword, you just have to flick the controller. It's okay for zelda, but one game that is a little more literal might be nice, just to see how it plays out. I'm happy with it, and once mario kart comes out, I know the wife will be too.

I keep going to my local Best buy and Fry's for it but they keep running out. I need to just order it from online and be done with it. It's kind of funny, though. You see stacks and stacks of Xbox 360 and a ton of other consoles but you can't find a single PS3 or WII anywhere. I guess we know who is selling this holiday.
Yeah I have to agree with Tadgie on this one. The Wii is AWESOME in every way possible!!! Zelda is a great game to have even if you've never really been a fan cause I got my friend (who hasn't played a video game in her life and thought they were all just "fighting monsters") into zelda with this game. In other words, it's a really cool and fun game. However the downfall is that a lot of the good games start to come out in January, but they still have some good ones for the Wii. Red Steel is pretty cool according to another one of my friends that has it, but he says the combat could be better, and I'm planning on getting a few games like NFL '06 (even though I don't even know how to play normal football lol), Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Need For Speed: Carbon cause they looked pretty cool on the other consoles and should still be cool on the Wii. I also wanna get Excite Truck cause I played it at a GameStop in the mall and it's a pretty fun game. In short, The Wii is definitely better to get than a PS3. The Xbox 360 is pretty fun, but they cost way more than the Wii.

I don't concern myself with consoles too much, but from what I have seen I agree with the others here--stay away from PS3. Yes, it uses Blue-Ray for HD, but why buy it now, lose all your PS2 games (which won't work on it, from reports I have read), and there will be multi-format consoles in the near future?
Besides...I like the wireless controller the Wii has. I don't care for FPS games, but a First Person Sword game...now that I could enjoy.

I'm pretty sure PS2 games will work on the PS3. That's just what I've heard about it....But back to the Wii. It really does look sweet. I was planning on getting it last Sunday, but I arrived at Circuit City about an hour too late.
I have to say it's pretty awesome, definitely the best handheld. But it still doesn't compare to console games, the controls aren't as fluid as a PS2 or and Xbox.
Truthfully though, I'm an Xbox fanboy with an open mind.
