I think Nathan is more powerful then we realize. Here are some theories I have about Nathan.
1) Nathan KILLED his dad. Yup I said it, he killed his dad. Although I don't have good back up evidence...I have a strong feeling that he did this.
2) In every dream that Peter has, Nathan has always been in it acting like he has total control. In his last dream, Nathan actually walks up to him rather than running away. It is almost like Nathan is not even afraid and he knows that he won't die. Maybe he is more powerful? I believe that Nathan probably sets him up to make peter look like the bad guy.

Hmm I must say being a way for a while I have missed these dreams of Peters but from the information you have given it sounds plausible.
I never liked Nathan anyways, I think his treatment of Peter and his general attitude towards his and Peters powers throw some light on a somewhat shady character.

there was actually another dream of Nathan becoming Sylar all of a sudden. Maybe suggesting that Nathan is being nice to Peter upfront but really he is a bad guy.

I got a different impression of the dream. I think if anything it pointed out the strong connection between the two, that everyone, even Claire, is running away from Peter, yet Nathan is approaching. I think its symbolism that when Peter is about ready to explode for real, Nathan isn't going to leave him.
I don't think he's at all evil, but I do think he's going to be shown in a more negative light as things go on since he's still not seeing anything beyond his election at this point. But I do think he'll come around and be a true hero.
If you read the interview between kristin and Adrian, he says that hes being portrayed in a flip-flop kind of fashion. He'll do something that makes him look bad but then turn around and do something really good.
You can't really judge him based on the dream sequences.
In the first one peter had where he was falling from the building and he sees nathan looking up with that evil grin, it turns out that nathan actually tried to save him when the even actually happened.
How do we know something similar isn't happening here with his most recent dream. I heard someone saying that maybe nathan is going towards him to try and fly him away to keep other people safe. I think that nathan is being portrayed as the evil brother but will prove us all wrong by righting some wrong that is commited.

Of course he is going to save him, he is his brother. I just think that Nathan will be bad later on. I think he has good in him definetly but I still think that he will slowly turn bad.

personally, i feel that if events come to pass as peter has predicted, that nathan will grab his brother, and fly away into the atmosphere in order to save the world.
I was thinking the same thing, Nemnoch. I think it'd be a great way to end the first season, maybe even make it a cliffhanger where we won't learn the fates of the brothers until the season 2 premiere or something.

Fly him off to where? An air detonation could actually cause a greater area of radioactive dispertion (If I remember my sci-fi correctly). Detonation in an ocean could lead to greater ecological fallout. Flying him off into space would cause the loss of 2 heroes since the vortex of space is known to be not nice to human physiology. (Again, sci-fi knowledge)
So, given the whole time factor, I suggest Nathan flies him to Canada. j/k
