I gotta say, I walked out of this movie feeling pretty damn good. It's probably my favorite Will Ferrel movie so far and it had some strong performances by Emma Thompson (whom I love) and Dustin Hoffman.

Anyone else see this yet?

I liked it a lot. It wasn't a laff riot or anything like that, but it had some depth to it and I thought Will Ferrell did a pretty good job considering his roots.

It probably helped that all his fellow actors were past Oscar nominees and winners, but it shows he's capable of learning.

Will Ferrell really is a better actor than people might think. Yes, he's paid his bills doing weird comic schtick, but now he is entering the phase of his career where he will settle down into real acting. It's worked for Robin Williams and Jim Carrey, so it'll work for him, too.

I loved it! It was a bit more serious than his usual stuff, but that's one reason I liked it so much. It was still humorous of course. I think I like Maggie Gylanhall's character better in this movie than any other I've seen her in. I would def watch it again.
