Episode Reviews/Discussions (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)For your take on the latest episodes, news on upcoming episodes, as well as your own reviews etc. BEWARE: THREADS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Well i just watched the new ep and it brought a new theory to my head which i think deserved a new thread. Niki's Power. or "Power" should i say. We all say the scene where Niki's "alter ego" takes over in the elevator and threatens lindermans guy with a "Niki's not here right now" and a"don't threaten OUR son..." After watching this it led me to believe that maybe, it isn't an alter ego at all, but instead an alternate person.... Anyone still wondering why we haven't seen D.L. Yet?
The directors made a lot of changes from the original pilot to whats being aired now....So what if they changed D.L.s power? (or it could even be the same, just a little more advanced) What if HE is INSIDE her and able to take control when he wants to?
It fits if you really think about it. It would be THE PERFECT HINDING PLACE. He can't be found, and he still gets to be with his family (and i think micah knows about it because of what he said in ep 3 "they'll never find him").
As the 2 thugs try to hurt niki in episode one, D.L. takes control (or comes out completely) and kills the thugs to protect his wife. Then her second black out was him taking control again to cover everything up. This all also explains how niki was able to find the bodies in the desert. Her "alter ego" was the one who left her the map of where to go. If D.L. really is the one who stole the money from linderman and killed the men, he'd know exactly where they were burried. Then the newest episode, its almost as if a switch is flipped and we get to finally see niki's alter ego. As i stated above, the "alter ego" says "niki's not here right now..." and "...OUR son". Then she/they walk back into the room with nathan. I can't really explain why D.L. would want to make niki have sex with nathan (or why he would want to still be in control of her body when it happens, IDK, maybe its a prison thing, DONT DROP THE SOAP!, lol, jk.) But maybe D.L knows something that niki doesn't know and knew that this would actually get them off the hook and make linderman leave them alone.
I can't really explain the "SEXY TIME" (as Borat would say, lol) but i'm DEAD SET that Niki's Alter Ego IS IN FACT D.L. I think D.L. Is finally introduced next week though
Somehow I don't think DL would choose to return to Nathan's room and "complete the task" that Niki was supposed to. Just my two cents.
In the Sunday Newspaper Edition of the TV guide this past weekend, an article says that DL has the ability to walk through walls, which I thought was rather interesting since we rerally haven't met DL as of yet.
But like i said, in the pilot, he could walk through walls, but maybe they changed it just like they changed Isaac cutting off his hand and the numerous other things they changed. And if he can phase through walls, maybe he can phase through people as well (or even stay inside the people)
As for the finishing the job part, i can't really explain it either. maybe he just knows it has to be done for the safety of his family.
Guess we'll have to wait a week to see. If im wrong, oh well. I just think it fits.
I'm leaning more towards DL being the alter-ego because of the 'Stop messing with OUR son' comment and the location that was picked for Nikki to bury the bodies. But the hookup with Nathan kinda blows that out of the water. Heh. No pun intended.
So TV Guide is saying DL is a 'mutant' too? Interesting.

No way. Don't you think if Nikki has a completely seperate personality in her body that the alternate personality would think of Micah as her son too?
It's not DL.

This is true. But don't you think if Her alter ego was the one who committed the murders so long ago and burried the bodies there, Wouldn't niki have some kind of memory lapse back then as well? They haven't said whether she has or not had them before the time period the show began, but as of the first episode, it seems to me that shes JUST NOW having these black outs and whatnot. Perhaps D.L. Just recently got inside her. Its a possibility. As far as i can tell (besides the sex part, but like i said, prison does weird things to you....DONT DROP THE SOAP!) theres really no evidence to say that it ISNT true. If someone has something that can without a doubt disprove it, then oh well, im wrong. But until i hear it, thats where i stand.

D. L. appears in the 6th ep. I don't think that he is bisexual either. Niki and whomever shares her body are not two physically different people. The alter ego within her would know of Micah and consider him to be hers as well. Of course there is the whole Tim Kring interview where he says that her powers are similar to Jeykll and Hyde or Hulk/Banner.

Lol, i know hes not bisexual, i was just making a joke. I just think its a possibility that he's the alter ego and will do whatever it takes to protect his family.
and i found this which says he appears in Ep 5:
Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey):
Micah inherited more than good looks from mom Niki and super-powered dad (introduced in Episode 5). Kring says Micah’s special ability is “something very different than either of his parents.” http://www.heroestheseries.com/the-h...aled-spoilers/[/quote]
And something else that just popped in my head. If the symbol really does represent the people who have powers, Why would they wait so long to show us a symbol with Niki? We've seen it with every other character with powers so far. Perhaps the real niki doesn't have a power at all. They waited to show the symbol now because we're actually seeing the physical of her alter ego (aka in my opinion D.L.)
(For anyone who hasn't already read what i thought of the symbol, i don't think it plays any kind of actual physical role in the story. I believe it to be similar to the color red in the movie "The 6th Sense". It doesn't actually play a part, but it MEANS something to the viewers. kinda symbolic. Just as in "The 6th Sense" every time you see the color red, it means theres someone dead nearby. In our case, every time you see the symbol, someone with a power is nearby.)
