now that nathan looks like he's going to be blackmailed by linderman, does anyone else think that nathan and niki's alter ego will end up being two of the heroes that are evil??

Nathan seems to be a slick politician, lying about his brother and trying to get rid of him, going to vegas and taking linderman money, seems a small side step to going bad.

Niki's alter ego, killing and going thru with the blackmail, not too heroic there either.

it was stated that not all the characters with powers will be good.

yeah.... Niki's alter-ego is pretty sinister... she did it for a reason. she was protecting Niki. It seems that Niki's alter-ego takes on a "motherly" type role when it comes to Niki and her son. If I remember correctly... and I'll probably have to go back and watch the episode again... her alter-ego refers to Niki's son... as Niki's son. She's like a protective mother in the wild... who will protect her cubs by any means necessary... and Niki is her cub... so she's definetly goin' to do anything and everything in her power to keep Niki safe from harm.

As far as Nathan... I'm going to save that for another thread. I have a few things that have brewing in my head... and it does involve the alter-ego of Niki... but... let me mull over it for tonight... and I'll get back to everyone with that. There's something that Hiro says to Peter... that sticks to the back of my mind... and its just got me wondering....

na, niki's alter ego is self serving, i don't think it/he/she cares a wit for anyone else but itself, killing and going thru with the blackmail is a means to an end.

and killing and blackmail is just a tad on the bad side

....Or perhaps a "Fatherly" role? Is it not the fathers job to ensure the safety of his family? Read this thread i posted. i think it explains A LOT!

...hhhmmmm... interesting... its plausible... but wouldn't two people inhabiting one body... pose a problem? I don't know... I'm not the smartest person in the world... but I don't think thats possible. Now someone's spirit might be able to inhabit your body (i.e. possession)... is plausible.. because the spirit's body is no more. Where's D.L.'s body if he's inhabiting Niki's? He would have to be in a coma and his spirit would have to be separated from his body... in order for him to habit Niki's with the split personality... alter-ego... thing she's got going there...

I don't know... just my thoughts on the whole... D.L. and Niki are one bit... :?

I just assumed that if DL has the ability to phase through walls, then he can probably phase through people as well. And if his powers are advanced enough, even take control of the persons body he has phased into. I dont know though. Pure speculation

I was thinking about that last night when her reflection in the elevator split in two. It sort of shows you right there that there aren't two Niki's going around. I don't think it's DL phasing into her, unless he can become invisible and follow her around...

I dont see how him being invisible would validate it. because niki was the one who said "niki isn't here right now" Yes it could be that im wrong and she really does just have some kind of split personality, but im still sticking to my theory

I'm not saying you're wrong by any means. How can speculation be wrong? I'm just thinking out loud. I, for one, would like to see as many theories/speculations as possible. Makes you think, which is more than most shows do.
