Oh man what happened? I was watching a totally cool sci-fi show about humans fighting robots when all of a sudden I'm watching a TV show about the Iraq War and how Iraqi terrorists who blow up men and women in street markets are good guys while our American military and the Iraqi Government trying to get on with life post-Saddamn are the bad guys. Good God. If I wanted to watch a show about how Eviiiiiiiiiiiil the American occupation of Iraq is, I'd watch Al Jazeera. Thank you, Ron Moore, for totally ruining BG, you Hollywood Liberal jackass.
BG has always been a little too depressing for the sake of depressing to me, and Ron Moore has all the subtlety of a sledgehammer smashing against your eyeball. I do find all the pro-Insurgency stuff in the Season 3 premiere to be a tad disturbing. Only in America could you make a TV show that basically takes the side of your country's enemies...
I rather liked this episode. I hope the season keeps going as strong as this.
The one thing that does shoxk me and the Cylons that are working with the humans. Seems odd that they would trust them at all.
Well not really if you take it from the point of view that Moore is paralleling everything in Iraq. The "collaborators" in the show are the Iraqi policemen in real life In Moore's view, I guess honest guys who sign up to help police their country from violence are evil traitors. /shrug

Oh I understood that...I should have been more clear. I am speaking of the commander allowing the Cylon that shot and nearly killed him to work under his command again. Cause he trusts her, as he stated.

Dark Horizons is reporting HERE that the announcement is only days away for BSG to be part of NBC's lineup.

Aren't the shows ratings right around Stargate SG-1/Atlantis? SG-1 gets the dump while BSG gets the bump.
Edit: It seems that Dark Horizons made a booboo! The report is inaccurate. BSG won't be making the jump to NBC. Sory for further spreading this nasty rumor.

It's just not only about Iraq. It's about every occupation on our bellic history. Just think about the Celts and the Brittons during the Roman occupation. Manchuria or France. It's not only about the USA and Iraq, but the situations that emerge in every conflict.
And it's also about shades of grey. In Galactica, they try to portray that neither side is right during war. And that's what i like in BSG. That approuch makes the characters three dimensionals, believable.
