Episode Reviews/Discussions (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)For your take on the latest episodes, news on upcoming episodes, as well as your own reviews etc. BEWARE: THREADS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I believe that all these people who we've seen in the show other than the actual heroes have powers. These people include;
Issac's wife/girlfriend,
The two flying guys' mother,
Niki's son,
Claire's Parents (or maybe only one of them),
The whispering girl that the cop found,
The professor guy,
and of course... Syler.
I'm not sure what their powers are or even if they have them, but that's my theory.

-Kate Austen, ABC’s LOST Season 1– 2004
“I wish destiny would lose our phone number.”
-Ando Masahashi, NBC’s Heroes Season 1 – 2006
Also, Isaac's girlfriend's Dad (the unconscious patient in Ep.1 played by Richard "Shaft" Roundtree) (who I think is dad to DL in Ep 3 and Grandpa to Niki's kid)
And The sons' deceased Dad (suicide cuz couldn't accept powers?)
The whispering Girl's Dad (brain removed like Isaac's)
Niki's "mom"
Disagree about Claire's folks, since adoptive.
Professor's new neighbor (on other post, she was nicknamed "Squeaky")

Shaft is African American and Nikki's kid looks pretty Latino to me. Plus, Nikki mentioned the father's name (damned if i can remember it) and I thought it was latino-ish also. Carlos or something.
Kudo's for noticing it is shaft though, obsure! But he is a has-been, perhaps this is the best he could get as his age having been type cast.
p.s. i hate new buttons. too lazy to figure out how to fix the quote-y thing

I gotta say I think Micah looks like his father was probably African American. He resembles plenty of my friends who have that sort of mixed heritage.
And, Simone could easily be his aunt. Think about her looks and compare them to his.
However. good call on Niki saying the dad's name. I am pretty sure she didn't say D.L. And I think she said he was on the run, not caught. Of course, he could be in jail and she is unaware since she hasn't had any contact with him.

blah
really, its all in the casting. perhaps that was the only kid that didnt suck during auditions.
And, i have noticed that the cast seems to be pretty anglicized. Even the 'ethnic' people have anglicized features.
Though that is the way of television. Ethnicity is good, as long as they still have white features. When was the last time you saw a very dark African American in a popular television show??
I think it's crap.
Stupid whitey.

Part of me agrees with you and part of me doesn't, I suppose. I guess it was good that the creators were at least attempting to bring a little technicolor to an otherwise bleached out medium, but the ethnic actors do have a somewhat anglicized look to their features. I guess the only one who does not have toned down ethnic features is Richard Roundtree (Simone's dad) and he's been laying on his back in that hospital bed for his whopping two (MUTE) scenes.
The most recent dark African American I can remember in a popular show is Steve Harris in the Practice. He played Eugene. He also just guest starred in Grey's Anatomy. Actually, now that I think of it--Chandra Wilson plays Miranda Bailey on Grey's and she is definitely not an anglicized version of an African American woman.
Oh well. I guess The Man is making baby steps.

I think Spoilers have confirmed that DL (african-American) who has been in the cast list will be revealed as kids father.
