I figured out the ending!!

Hiro (by chance the writer made it sound like "hero") will teleport the nuclear bomb EXPLOSION away, somewhere else to save NY

That is the ending.

The ending to what the first story arc? It's a series with no set ending as I figure it.

As advertised, "they will find out that their purpose is to save the world"...

So basically speaking, their purpose will be to save the world from a nuclear weapon, as predicted by the junky with paintings who can predict the tragic future with his art.

Remember, his art shows a nuclear weapon blowing up NY?

Of course a nice story twist would have been evil people with badass powers versus good people with badass powers, but then again, maybe that's an idea someone else can exploit for the sake of my viewing pleasure

I would be very disappointed if they teamed together to save new york. I saw and noticed the atom bomb painting like everyone else, but do you seriously think they're going to give away the ending in the first episode, no that will come into play but it will not be as significant.

Well I'm sure there will be PLENTY of good stuff in-between them saving the world and whatnot. After all, did you see the previews for episode 2? Fantastic stuff with Hiro in it. I don't think people will be waiting with bated breath to see how they save the world. There are just so many endless possibilities to play aorund with. I, for one, am dying to see what they do with Nikki's doppelganger...
