Hero will become famous soon enough
Default A Post-dated Positive Review for HEROES!

Here's a positive one for some balance (and if it's not post-dated, then is the premiere today?!?):
Quote:
A cheer for NBC's 'HEROES'
By Gail Pennington
09/25/2006

In Texas, a high school cheerleader walks through fire but doesn't burn. Mangled by the garbage disposal, her fingers repair themselves.

In Japan, an office drone believes he can bend time and space. Turns out, he's right.

In Las Vegas, a desperate single mother sees a strange and powerful new side of herself in the mirror.

And in New York, an artist who paints the future can't cope with its horrors. For help, his girlfriend turns to a caring nurse -- a young man who is sure he can fly.

"HEROES," arriving on NBC tonight, is the story of (in the network's words) "ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities." Their destiny is "nothing less than saving the world."

Even before NBC announced it in May, "HEROES" was creating loud buzz on the Internet. At Comic-Con, a huge comic book and pop-culture convention held in July in San Diego, 2,000 people packed a "HEROES" screening, and almost 1,000 more had to be turned away.

Well, sure, a show about people with mysterious powers would be an easy sell to comic book and fantasy fans. But what about mere mortals? Will they get it or pass up one of the new season's best dramas?

In fact, "HEROES" is so well-made -- with fascinating characters, dazzling special effects and the look of a big-screen feature -- that it hardly seems necessary to understand every detail, especially in the early going. How many of us who are riveted by "Lost," after all, really understand every nuance?
There ya have it folks. Comparing this positive review with the previously-posted negative review just goes to show that you can't please all the people all the time, but I'll end this spree of news posts with this positive review of HEROES! 8)

Another comparison to Lost! I just hope people don't get the wrong idea. I've seen the show and I don't think it's like Lost at all.

I can kind of see why people would compare Heroes to LOST, although I think LOST is a whole lot better, though I think LOST is better than anything.
