That's weird. I would swear there are some scenes in there that I remember from Ong-Bak.

Ong-Bak was a terrible terrible movie but the martial arts were absotively posilutely the most amazing I've ever seen. And all done without wires. Highly recommended for martial arts fans, don't go near it if you want to see a decent movie.

Wait! You're actually telling me that movie wasn't just pure martial arts? Ong-Bak I thought was just a bunch of stunts and martial arts thrown together. I completely didn't realize they even tried to implement a plot! The Protector looks like a good martial arts romp.

Haha , yeah, no story in either movie, but oh boy does is the action splendid. Wait til you see the 10-minute, continuous fight scene in "The Protector" (aka "Tom Yum Goong") when Tony Jaa's character goes up this hotel that spirals upwards and battles about, oh, 40 guys or so CONTINUOUSLY for 10 straight minutes. Beautiful.

Oh, and despite what the commercials say, the movie is about someone stealing Tony Jaa's pet elephant and he goes to Australia to retrieve it. That's basically it. People are always stealing this guy's stuff...
