I know the new Batman movie isn't coming out until 2008, but let's talk about it anyway! I like the fact that they're bringing in Joker, but I'm not sure if Heath Ledger is the right actor to play him. What do you guys think?

I’ll reserve judgment until the movie comes out. There have been plenty of rumors about casting for other villains which Christopher Nolan recently denied on dark horizons…

not a big Heath Ledger fan, but I will give him the opportunity. What is the premise of the film or have they announced that?

I think I read on IMDB that Batman has to fight the Joker (obviously) and another mob boss (I'm pretty sure his name is Salvatore Maroni).

There are so many "good" bad guys why rehash joker? I guess that is the most recognizeable batman foe.

I actually like the idea of having Joker cuz of that reason exactly. And even though I think they could've done better than Heath Ledger, I believe this version of the Joker is gonna be better than Jack Nicholson's version.

ledger as the joker doesn't sound right to me. i've never seen this guy do anythign but the "serious square jaw hero" bit and i don't get how he's going to play crazy. can he even do the laugh? this guy looks waaay too serious.
