Default The Real-Life HERO-ESque Moments Thread!

First off, hi everyone! After seeing the 55-minute pilot, I was hooked! Is that why you are here too? Amazing! I definitely have a good feeling about HEROES, and I can't wait for the ride ahead!

Besides an introductory greeting, the reason for this thread is to allow people to share their real-life HERO-ESque moments! Your stories will count as being HERO-ESque if they remind you of a situation that could be experienced by or seen on HEROES. That's the only rule. It would be best if you have some sort of proof of how your moment is HERO-ESque by including something like a (non-"Photoshopped" or unaltered) photo, but if not, they have to be true stories.

The experience I have to share happened today (or overnight) and was unexpected! Our family has a few radio-controlled clocks (which receive a low frequency signal) that are automatically synchronized with the accurate (losing maybe a second in a very long time) atomic clock at NIST in Boulder, Colorado. I usually don't have to worry that my time is wrong, but this morning was different. I overslept, and my clock said it was after 4 pm! How could I have missed a whole day?!?

I quickly checked another rc clock and my watch which I've set to those clocks, and they said it was 'only' 8 in the morning! Besides the automatic daily updates that the clocks don't usually need that the clocks make, you can make the clocks update and sync with the signal manually, so I tried that to get my clock to tell the correct time. But until tonight, it still showed the time as 8 hours later! I don't have an explanation for the clock, since it receives the SAME signal as all other rccs, unless maybe Hiro brought it back in time?!? Here's the only shiny piece o' proof I have that it happened, but there's probably a logical explanation:

I think people will have better HERO-ESque stories to share than mine, but I thought this story was worthy of inclusion!
