Hello, I'm new here, but I'm getting myself familiarized with Heroes already. In fact, it's gotten to a point for me that I've already picked out my faves: Matt, Hiro, and Niki. I put Matt at the top of my list because I have a love of psychic phenomena. I've always been intrigued by the concepts of telepathy, telekinesis, the works. I know it doesn't seem half as exciting as some of the other characters' abilities, but I don't worry about what other people think.
BTW, if you want to have some fun, go to my website, The Oddball Extreme's Wacky World of Weirdness, and scroll down to the Crazy Caption of the Week. I'll be introducing different Heroes characters (to those who have no clue who these people are...), but I'll have them saying some rather funny statements.
Here's hoping this show will last a long, long time.

Welcome Oddball Extreme! It's good to see you've found this place! If you want, I have a fan fiction centering around Matt Parkman you can check out. I think Matt will be one of the best ones to watch, hence my fan fic. Again, welcome to the board!

Thank you. Now, I came up with 11 tell-tale symptoms of a little condition I call PHS...Pre-Heroes Syndrome:
1. Ever since finding out about the show in any way, shape, or form, you've found yourself obsessed to the point you've either started or joined at least three different groups or forums (this one's my fifth!).
2. You've already picked out your fave characters. I already established Matt, Hiro, and Niki.
3. You have the hard-to-find Press Kit, giving you access to a special website which you can't download the pix because you're not a member of the media! (Fortunately, I found another spot to get monster-sized photos.)
4. You've already created at least one (or 13) icons and 10 wallpapers with the Photoshop program.
5. You don't live anywhere near an AMC, Cinemark, or Regal Entertainment cinema complex, meaning you can't get the special coded card to download the free pilot on iTunes on Sept. 1!
6. You're hoping Heroes gets some mention at Dragon*Con (in Atlanta, which I'll be heading to next weekend) after getting a lot of attention in both San Diego and Chicago.
7. You're already starting to write fanfics involving at least one of the characters (Got one going with Matt teaming up with two characters from my fave cartoon The Magician, another serious Heroes fanfic already brewing in my head, and currently working on Whose Hero Is It Anyway?)
8. You're dreaming about the team almost every night in your sleep!
9. You're seriously counting down the days to September 25!
10. You've just bought yourself a video iPod just so you can download all the episodes to your heart's content!
11. You want to find the October issue of Sci-Fi Magazine because there's supposed to be a big article on Heroes in it!
If you are experiencing any or all these symptoms, please consult your head, pounding against a wall...okay, maybe not literally, but you get the point!
#11's been soothed temporarily. I'm content with an article on Greg Grunberg on page 48 of the August 28-Sept. 3 issue of TV Guide. However, don't expect him to talk about the show. It's more about how he's being a true "Super Dad" to his 10-year-old son, who suffers from epilepsy.

Come on Tob! Some of those fit you, right? I for one fit under #1, #2, #5, #6 (Even though I'm unable to go to Dragon Con), and #9 due to this forum makes that easy and well I did it manually for a while.

I didn't say that I didn't pass/fail the test. I was just commenting on the fact that someone took the time to write it all down.

Hey, it took me a little time to name all these symptoms. Besides, I did say if you experience any or allthe symptoms, you should pound your head against a wall! :P
