Two More Heroes Deaths Scheduled for Fugitives
Since there isn’t a new Heroes episode to hold us over until the show returns in February of 2009, Heroes news has been a tad dry lately. Or at least, anything worth posting. Finally, Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly has given us something worth talking about: namely that show insiders have confirmed that the upcoming volume, “Fugitives”, will feature the deaths of two more heroes, both “significant” characters — one of which will be permanent (that is, no more coming back from the grave this time, or so they say), while the other may or may not be, since the producers haven’t decided yet. And the kicker? Both deaths will be women characters.

So let’s see. Two major deaths of “significant” characters. How many significant female characters are there on the show at the moment, and what are the chances of them dying? Let’s run down the list:
Claire Bennet. Forget about it. They’re not going to kill off Claire. No way, no how. Not with Hayden Panettiere’s current popularity.
Angela Petrelli. Possible. Sylar will still be looking to bump off Angela for what she did to him. Very, very possible, though I’m not sure how permanent her death, if she is one of the two, will be. Those Petrellis make a habit of coming back from the dead, dontcha know? Plus, with Arthur supposedly out of the picture, and the Government cracking down, The Company’s existence may have run its course.
Tracy Strauss. Another very real possibility. Let’s face it, Tracy Strauss started off as an interesting character with a lot of mystery, but she’s just become a bitch lately. No one likes her, and chances are the producers know that. Plus, Ali Larter’s movie career is taking off, and the actress might be ready for something bigger.
Daphne Millbrook. I can’t see this one happening. Daphne is starting to grow on me, and I was resistant to her from the very beginning. So if she can grow on me and actually make me like her, I’m sure she’s done the same for other people. So I can’t see the producers killing her off. Plus, Daphne makes Matt Parkman a viable character again, whereas before, let’s face it, Matt was just some slightly chubby guy in the corner.
Sandra Bennet. Would this character’s death really count as “significant”? Possibly. Heroes has pulled this stunt before — they killed off Simone in Season 1 when they were promising us a “big surprising death”, and we all thought it would be an actual hero, not just some innocent bystander like poor Simone.
Maya. She could be a definite victim in “Fugitives”. Not only has the character run its course, but she was never popular to begin with, so I don’t see Kring and company having any qualms about offing her for good.
So, what other major female characters on the show have I missed? Meredith is already dead, so she’s out of the picture. Add your thoughts below.

i agree with you get rid of claire and to be truthful i wish they bring back simone because we found out at the end of season 1 her father was one of them. Since they can bring back other characters they should bring her back. she could have never been dead since she worked for Mr. Linderman he could have saved her and she once again be Peters new girl.
screw that! why would you get rid of Claire??? so far, she’s been a key character in all 3 seasons!! plus, shes freakin gorgeous… and CANT die… sooooo kinda pointless to even mention her.
it would be pretty sweet if simone came back to life… it would be cool to see if she had an ability like her father (whatever his ability was).
i think that they could easily oust monica… where the eff was she this volume??? if they give her the boot as the permanent death it could be an easy ending for a character that has no prominence right now. and it could add a twist into mika’s story, as he is clearly being brought back in after we see his photo in the teaser for volume four.
Don’t you think that Micah has lost enough family? Mom, Dad, and no the cousin he’s gotten close to…Don’t be a jerk. That would be a easy way to turn that sweet boy into a villain!
uh claire can’t die. she has the same powers as adam and he got completely burnt in season 2 and still lived. And besides you don’t kill popular characters
Adam is dead he was killed by Arthur this season. He died begging for his life while Arthur was still unconsious on his bed.

You people are insane! Get rid of Claire, the hottest chick on the show! I don’t agree, and besides I don’t think they would do that anyway because whether you see the signs or not every season thus far has related to saving the cheerleader in some way and that is a mainstay of the show.
….but that was because Claire was the catalyst which she no longer is any more so she should be expendable, particularly if the show didn’t enjoy her recent political outburst… No character is too big Heroes and anyone can go… lol!
hey, there could be something even more special in claire we have NO IDEA about yet… first it was Mohinder with the shanti-virus cure, then it was Claire with the catalyst… who knows??
Mmm I think it will be Tracy.. Nikki never should have died, they screwed it up with Tracy, even though Ali is a grewat actress, Tracy sucks. I hope they don’t kill Daphne, I like her. Maybe Maya will return and they will kill her? I hope so because I don’t see anyone else dying. One character I would get rid off is Mohinder, SO boring..
And my last thought.. ELLE NEVER SHOULD HAVE DIED.

I don’t think Meredith is dead, when she lost Claire as a baby (before the company took her to Hiro’s dad then Bennett) she blew everything up and didn’t die, so I don’t think fire will kill Meredith seeing as she controls fire… And what happened to Monica??? I reckon Angela is a good bet although your right about the Petrelli’s always coming back!!! I think Sandra would be good to go though I agree that she doesn’t count as a hero but that would be a good catalyst to make Claire join the dark side and work against Mr Bennett with her own set of Heroes… I reckon Sylar and Claire are destined to be on the same team and imagine Sandra was Sylar’s real mum…woohoo!!!

One of the deaths may be the confirmation of Meredith’s death if she dies or hasn’t yet. Like we take off ep 1 vol 4 inside the burning building with Meredith and Syler trying to escape (we know Syler does bcoz of the pics for vol 4. She could die if something falls on her or maybe even Syler kills her or traps her in – he does not have fire power yet (she is immune from fire damage).
I then hope it is not Daphne – I love her!! And not Claire! Kill the cheerleader, kill the world!

It makes sense, as they can then introduce Babara. Although I like Tracy, even though she is a bit of a bi*ch lol.
It could be daphne though, remember the future sight Matt had, Daphne died in that!

Molly Walker is very significient – would they have the heart to kill her????? I SO HOPE NOT SHE IS A GREAT CHARACTER! But she is very significient, propaly too much to kill lol.
Also Monica is set to return in vol 4, so she could also be one which is killed. She could be made significient in this storyline.
ALSO, whatever happened to that Caitlin girl which Peter met when he lost his abilities???

before i go on to explain who i think it will be i’d like to stress that there is no solid evidence that Meredith is actualy dead, she survived one fire right?? Also when Elle short circuited in level five she didnt die.
and my guess is that Tracy will be killed off…Que Barbara (her sister that the writers made a point of mentioning)

Clare dies, ALOT, it could be that? she dies, they take her out of the holding camp, she finds hiro coz they cant keep hiro if he doesnt have an ability and thats how they save them all.

Daphne will be one of the two to go. Because in an earlier spoiler about fugitives it said Matt Parkman will be darker because they do something to him. I’m assuming that they kill Daphne and he goes crazy. The other has to be Tracy, there’s no real use for her character. Don’t get me wrong, I think Ali Larter is hot, but it’s time to go.
I am just greatful that the producer’s are considering killing off Nathan (again), for Adrian Pasdar is the reason I watch Heroes!

Keep Meredith (fire).
Keep Sandra.
Keep Caitlin.
Keep Monica (muscle mimickry).
Kill Maya (killer eyes (she lost her ability though…)).

Merrath may not be dead if you remember what happen in season one where she supposively is dead by the fire in her apartment which totally burned down. and I really don’t mind them killing off Maya or Tracy, Maya for one is really naive and gullible getting tricked by Slyar come on she wouldn’t even believe her own brother her flesh and blood come on what does that show you… and tracy comes off a a total bitch and I like to see her killed off, and it would be a good thing for the show since there is barbra the third installment of the triplets so that be a good kick off to the next vol. too.
Also Eric Doyle Loved her and he was seen in pics for vloume 4 so he may had time to go to level 5, Save Meredith, and escape.

I think Sandra might be a choice, even though she is not super, she is very significant. Also maybe Maya or Tracy…they’re not irreplacable, but definitely not Claire, she is a main character and an important role.
omg claire already lost her real mum, her adoptive mum too she would go mental and seek lots of revenge. they should give her another ability as well as healing!

you know i, like you. thought jessica was a sister, and thought if they were triplets what about jessica? then realised ah she might not have to be identical so maybe just a sister.
but then thought ah this also means she doesnt nessicarily have to be even related. they were split up triplets. so my guess each one was adopted.
but then thought how the hell did jessica get into nikki?
cause nikkis power is super strength. so im assuming jessica has some body transfer power.
so maybe they are realted or just coinsidence.
but then thinking to myself, have we ever seen this power else where, and the only similar thing i can think of is future peters body implanting power thingy.

Lol – they HAVE explained this. If you remember, Nikki didn’t only flip into Jessica but also some other woman (the one that DL found in some club – a personality that we were told then had come out once before when she was on holiday – she wrote something on the mirror with lipstick. I don’t remember the details or her name right now). Nikki simply had a habit of flipping from one character to the next – it wasn’t always Jessica – she was just the most prominent at the time.
Nikki was adopted into a family that included a girl called Jessica. This Jessica we’ve been told has died and she is completely unrelated to Nikki (only an adopted sister). She didn’t ‘go into Nikki’ or anything like that as far as we’re told and she didn’t look like Nikki either. However, we are led to believe that Nikki, cause of some psychological trauma due to her adopted sister’s death, mau have named her other personality after her. When I say she ‘named’ Jessica, I mean subconsciously.
