Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 Villains

By Sam | August 6, 2007 (12:15 pm) | More: Crew: Tim Kring (Producer/Creator), Heroes Season 2 Spoilers/News

Heroes producer/creator Tim Kring gave more details about the upcoming Season 2, including that the first episode will premiere September 24th as expected and will run for 11 straight episodes before hitting its first break. He also talked about new villains. Yes, VILLAINS. As in plural. According to Kring, Season 2’s villains will make Mister Linderman and the brain-sucking Sylar look “tame” by comparison.

More from Kring via Sci Fi Wire:

“At the end of last season we gave in the season finale a premonition of someone who is a very scary villain out there, who has invaded the dreams and nightmares of this character on our show named Molly Walker, who can locate people just by thinking about them,” Kring said. “[We] teased the idea that there was another villain out there. And the audience can expect to see him somewhere in the first run of episodes.”

Sylar was very dangerous at the beginning of Season 1, but the threat seemed to dissipate a bit as we learned more about the man behind the brain eating agenda. Hopefully Season 2’s villains will remain scary throughout; it’s great to “understand” the bad guys, but sometimes a great villain is one that is just MEAN for no reason.

I agree. Pure evil is much scarier than kinda evil guy with serious mommy issues.
