Tim Kring Talks Heroes Season 2 (aka Volume Two)
“Heroes” producer Tim Kring gave Sci Fi Wire the lowdown on his show’s upcoming Season 2, or as he calls it, Volume 2. Some tidbits of note include: Season 1 will definitely have 23 episodes and no more; the storyline currently running through Season 1 will definitely end at Episode 23, launching the way for a whole new story arc in Season 2. Kring also tells the audience to get ready for “new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes”, and compares the show more to “24″ than “Lost”, which was the most surprising, as the show has always been considered “Lost”-like by mainstream critics.
Here’s more of what Kring had to say:
“If you remember, the opening of the pilot pronounced the episode as the beginning of Volume One… Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story… Heroes needs to evolve, and if we are positing an idea that this is happening all over the world to many, many people, then we get to see some of those people and see how their story fits in.”
