Tim Kring Confirms Heroes at Comic Con ’09, But No Panel

Plan on attending the world-famous Comic Con in San Diego next month? If you do, then you should definitely schedule the Heroes panel as part of your trip, because according to Tim Kring himself, the show will host yet another panel at the big shindig, complete with new, exclusive footage from the upcoming Heroes Season 4. Update: The Tribune has updated their story, and now says that Heroes won’t have an official panel at Comic Con ’09, but that Kring and the show do still plan to have a “presence” at the event. More info below.

From the Chicago Tribune:

This year, however, “Heroes” will not do a panel at Comic-Con.

According to a representative from Universal Media Studios, which makes the show, “Heroes” will “have a presence” at Comic-Con in various ways, but that presence will not involve the typical panel discussion that is a staple of Comic-Con.

Most TV presentations involve the cast and creators sitting up on a stage, talking about their show, debuting new footage and taking fan questions. The fourth season of “Heroes” will be promoted at Comic-Con, but not in that way.

Make your plans now, folks! Comic Con ’09 lands in late July.

This could be a good thing, considering last year’s panel was embarrassing. they barely allowed for any questions, and the few that did get though were ones we’ve heard a million times already, or were just plain stupid. maybe this year an unofficial panel of sorts or whatever they have planned will allow for more one on one with the cast?
