The REAL Release Date for the Heroes DVD?

Gabriel dropped me a line to let us know that there is now a firm release date for the Heroes season 1 DVD release, and that Greg Grunberg was very much wrong when he said (here) that the DVD would be released a few weeks after the finale episode aired. (Oh, Greg.) According to DVDactive, Universal Home Video will make the DVD available on August 28th for around $59.98. The seven-disc package will include all 23 episodes presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. No details about the extras have been revealed, but I’m reasonably certain there will be a ton of them. And for those who wants their Heroes in high definition, a HD DVD set will cost you $99.98.

So there you go. August 28th is the official street date for the Heroes season one DVD.
