The Possible Return of Simone and the Sylar Clan Revealed?
By Sam | April 9, 2007 (8:33 pm) | More: Cast: Tawny Cypress (as Simone Deveraux), Cast: Zachary Quinto (as Sylar), Heroes Episode Spoilers
We all saw Isaac kill Simone, didn’t we? Shot her dead when he was aiming for an invisible Peter? And HRG and The Company did away with Simone’s body so Isaac wouldn’t get into trouble with the police? But wait, Kristin at E! Online says that might not be the end of Simone (aka actress Tawny Cypress) after all. After all, this is “Heroes” — death isn’t really the end, is it? Continue only if you wish to know more…
Says Kristin about Simone’s impending return:
Sources tell me that Tawny Cypress, who plays Simone, is—drum roll, please—not off the show for good. Far from it! I’m told that even though she was “killed,” Simone is coming back, along with her father (Peter’s patient), in the season finale. It turns out she has abilities of her own, and as my source put it, “There are people on the positive and negative side. And Simone is on the negative side.” Gaah! Oh, and according to another source, “[Simone and her father] may have some ties to some other characters that we had no idea about before.” Double gaah! Can. Not. Wait.
Simone returns in the season finale, and she has powers, too! In a show where an office worker from Japan can teleport through time, I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprise by this revelation. (If it’s true, that is…)
And what about Sylar?
According to Heroes creator Tim Kring, “We learn about his home life and where he came from, and after that episode, your opinion of him may change.” In the meantime, I’ll be polishing my Sylar shrine.
We’ll all get to find out if Simone actually comes back in the season finale. Meanwhile — Meet the Sylar Clan? Interesting…

Will Simone return for the season finale…?

Lucy on 9 April 2007:
I’ll believe that when I see it!
If Simone is not dead, Charlie HAS to come back and Eden too.
Oh Please No on 10 April 2007:
Oh Please, NO
No amount of super strength could save that weak character!
luke on 11 April 2007:
watch the episode where peter faints and first see’s the explosion. simone is at the explosion
Archis on 11 April 2007:
yea…and isaac comes n stops her from goin to te about to explode Peter…hmmmm…mayb
Marina on 11 April 2007:
in my opinion, Simone is just decoration.
she doesn’t have an interesting role in the series…
DISMISSED!!
PETER PETRELLI IS CUTE
Tariq on 12 April 2007:
i don’t think Simone will return in the season final..in the episode where peter faints and first see’s the explosion, claire was wearing her cheerleader uniform and Matt was in police uniform..think the dream was just fragments of peter’s memory.
Kathy on 12 April 2007:
It’s not impossible for Simone to come back to life but I think her role is just to make things more complicated for Peter & Isaac.
Russ on 12 April 2007:
The reason why they say that death is not the end of a character is the ability of the show to go back and forth in different time frames. If a character shows up in an episode after they die, the most probable situation will be a trip back to the past, not necessarily being revived. Well, if it’s true that Simone can really come back to life, that would suck. You can’t just keep on bringing back people to life. That is so lame.
Amy on 12 April 2007:
I’ve expected Simone to come back, but not come back TO LIFE, based on an interview she did with USA Today right after her “death”:
http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2007-02-19-heroes-cypress_x.htm
Whatever happens to lead up to the explosion in New York, with Peter freaking out and all, must involve Simone — whether she’s “alive,” a memory, a hallucination, or what. (As I remember, she looked pretty stylish and well-groomed in Peter’s dream — leave it to Simone to look that awesome after rising from the grave!)
carla on 12 April 2007:
NO! save eden instead of simone…please?
Marty on 13 April 2007:
maybe but i’d prefer if they’d bring back eden and especially charlie! woot! Hiro-Charlie! so sad… xD
Gord on 15 April 2007:
I would love to see Eden back cause she is so hot! I was dissapointed she was cut from the show. As for simone returning, it could have been the shapeshifting girl we see instead. After all she could appear as anyone! And as for waiting till April it is driving me crazy!!
trisha on 16 April 2007:
Peter Petrelli and Isaac Mendez are soooooooo cute!!!ü/gg
Mari on 18 April 2007:
I believe there are just too many characters with super powers and it would be better to see something else happening rather than this ending up to be a Smallville Style week by week chaotic annahilation of the everyday villian mutants! There should be people who are normal interacting with these mutants, but not being aware they have powers. It seems that everyone is a super power in this series that after awhile it becomes predictable. It would be nice if there could be some other plots involving ordinary situations where these mutants deal with such things as a tornado, a terrorist organization, and work in their super powers to help the ordinary humanoid.
Charmain on 18 April 2007:
As for the post that states that most of the characters are super heroes and that after a while it will become predictable, i thought that the sub plots and the super hero interactions is the reason why the show is so good, not because they hide or reveal their powers to a normal person.
Personally i want to see the heroes evolve, and it is natural human behaviour to be around people that are like you while you are evolving. Sticking together is their greatest way of survival. and after all the heroes are humans to begin with, why would we want to see normal human interation. that is unintelligent for the show, or heroes will become the next smallville.
If you are that desperate for normal human interaction between the heroes, think of nikki/jess and nathans relationship. the adultory is a common occurance and behaviour of society. you have the likes of hiros and andos friendship which they confront many different ideas but overcome these obsticles or the realtionship of a mother and son with nikki/jess and micah. what im saying is that the behaviours of these heroes are first and foremost human.
The show couldnt rely on the heroes confronting natural distasters or terrorists attacks because they cannot control a natural disaster or reveal themselves to a terrorist organisation (and could be seen a lil distasteful consider what has what to the likes of new york, london and bali in the past 7 years)
you want to see the interactions of the heroes, its like being in a chem class and mixing chemicals together and seeing what happens
macmurdock on 18 April 2007:
yeah, we will see simone in the season finale but i think it was just a trip back to the past where she is still alive, she’ll be seen but she’ll not come back to live and rise literally…she has no use!!! (hahah)if i were them, it is better to return eden or charlie or hannah, they’ve got nice stories in the graphic novel and they must kill Candice, I don’t like the way she uses her illusive powers…she’s a meanie…
Not Impressed on 20 April 2007:
I think the show is overrated and not that good! The show is Ok, but due to some stupid characters and some lousy events, im not looking forward for the season finale.
Adrenaline on 20 April 2007:
Remember, Kristin’s sources said Simone AND her father would return. So far, the only parent everyone suspects isn’t dead is Mr. Petrelli. Therefore, Simone’s return will probably only involve flashbacks or time travel… and does anyone REALLY think their opinion of Sylar will change when his past is revealed?
dcgirl on 21 April 2007:
Simone can’t have super powers or else Peter would have absorbed them already!! I hope she doesn’t come back as anything else other than a flash back. I agree: not an interesting character!
Peter and Simone on 6 May 2007:
In Peter’s dream you see many people like claude, claire, isaac, simone, etc. All the people in that dream have some kind of superpower (maybe simone or maybe not). The dream might be all the people that Peter has gotten powers from. So it just could be showing him all the powers he has recieved.
Sue on 6 May 2007:
This makes sense because I had even mentioned many times that Simone and Isaac are at the explosion, so even though she died… she has to be there and then, to remind people, it was on the previous episode in the “Previously on Heroes,” they re-showed the scene of them together in the city, so it’s definitely coming soon and she is definitely there, as is Isaac, which suggests that it might be in another time period, not when they think it is. Hiro thinks Sylar is the bomb anyway, when he’s not, so since I am pretty sure Hiro is jumping back to a helpless Sylar, we will see.
Sue on 6 May 2007:
Suresh is also in Peter’s dream, though and I am not entirely sure that he has any powers.
I also read somewhere, forget where, that people think Sylar might not want the bomb to go off because he might not want all those people to die, but that’s not because he is good - that’s because he would lose out on so many powers.
abby on 13 May 2007:
I can’t believe simone’s gonna be a bad guy!!! I loved her character; and when I heard she was gonna rise like the pheonix in the finale, I was ecstatic. But now I’m hearing that she’ll be on the “negative” side??? What the hell??? I don’t even wanna see the last two eppys anymore. The cheerleader, the cop, Nathan, Jessica, Suresh, Sylar…they’re all ridiculous! Peter, Simone, D.L., and Hiro are the only ones I watch the show for these days…No offense to the devoted fans…I used to be one of em’.
