The Heroes Powers Revealed! — SPOILERS

By Sam | October 5, 2006 (6:43 pm) | More: Heroes Season 1 Spoilers/News

Thanks to forum member ncmacasl, whose TV Guide (October 9-15th edition) landed in his mailbox with a listing of all the “Heroes” powers as revealed by the man himself, Tim Kring. So who has what power, and what will they do with it? Read on…

Niki Sanders (Ali Larter):

Niki’s power is still unclear - both to her and the audience - but it appears the single mom/stripper has a split personality. Says executive producer Tim Kring, “Her journey is about figuring out how to unify this other side of her and ultimately to control it.”

Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar):

The would-be congressman has the power of flight - and he’s not happy about it. “A guy running for office is really under a microscope,” Kring says. “Nathan doesn’t want [to be seen as] strange and unappealing.”

Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia):

Nathan’s younger brother, a disillusioned nurse, will learn - SPOILER ALERT - that he has the ability to absorb other people’s powers. But beware, Kring says: “He will be tempted whether to use it for good or evil.”

Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy):

Picking up where his murdered dad left off, the genetics professor is trying to prove that superheroes really exist. “He’s on a journey to discover what his father knew and why he died for knowing it,” Kring says.

Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka):

After discovering he can bend the space-time continuum - and teleport himself across the world - the Japanese office worker couldn’t be happier. “It’s no coincidence that we named him Hiro,” Kring says. “He truly is on a hero’s quest.”

Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere):

The Texas cheerleader is indestructible, but “like any teenager, the last thing she wants is to be different from everybody,” Kring says. Tune in October 9 to see just how tough she really is.

Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg):

A lowly L.A. Cop, Matt is slowly learning that he has telepathic powers. “It’s both a blessing and a curse,” says Kring. “He hears what he wants to, but also what other people really think of him.” The FBI will enlist his help in tracking the mysterious serial killer Sylar.

Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey):

Micah inherited more than good looks from mom Niki and super-powered dad (introduced in Episode 5). Kring says Micah’s special ability is “something very different than either of his parents.”

Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera):

The tortured artist predicts the future when he paints in a heroin-induced haze. “Early in the season, he’s trying to figure out if these powers exist when he isn’t high,” Kring says.

Simone Deveaux (Tawny Cypress):

[Special Power:] None. “You can’t have an entire show where everybody has a power,” says Kring. “She’s a very important character because she’s the voice of the average person saying, ‘this is crazy. This isn’t real!’ ”
