The Eight Paintings by Isaac Mendez — What do they Mean?
Besides Peter stuck in the future one year from now, the other big mystery from last night’s “The Line” episode involves those prophetic paintings by the late Isaac Mendez, who apparently found time to paint them before getting his head sliced open by Sylar. What do the paintings mean? We already know that the first painting has come true, and we know how it all ends — with HRG’s death — but what happens in-between?
Painting #1: Kaito’s death. (As seen in the Season 2 premiere.)
Painting #2: It’s already happened: Claire fakes her death to freak out a drunk Debbie with West’s help. (In “The Line”)
Painting #3: The Cure. Is the Caucasian hand holding it significant?
Painting #4: Blonde girl Trapped. Is this Niki/Jessica or Claire?
Painting #5: Peter in the future. (From the upcoming “Out of Time” episode, as seen in the previews.)
Painting #6: Hiro and Kensei: WHO YA GOT???
Painting #7: Man with a Smoking Gun. Mohinder?
Painting #8: The one that started it all — HRG dead, Claire and a mysterious figure in the background.

Your numbering is slightly incorrect: painting number 1 showed Kaito’s death; the paintings in the crate were numbers 2 through 8.
I suspect one painting will be fulfilled per episode over the next 6 episodes.

Isaac knew he was going to die but accepted it because he said something like… he understood what he was ‘meant’ to do. How does that tie in with the paintings he left behind? Sylar in my opinion must have been given the cure or something and that’s why he doesn’t have his powers, but I still don’t get where the writers are going with Maya/Alejandro/ and Sylar? Any thoughts?
I think the last 2 paintings are related. Maybe the guy in the 7th painting is the one that kills HRG. Or I could be wrong any ideas??
As said by dr Suresh. The mutated virus will bounce from those with special powers to the normal people so.. 93% of ppl will be dead in the fututre.
#4 The blonde isnt claire is niki/jessica. Claire never had a harmfull expresion on her face.
#6 Hiro vs Kensei .. i know now that Takedo kensei as spirit is realy Hiro.. the english man just dont fit the legendary tales descrption.
As for the 7th and 8th picture. I dont think that they are connected becouse in any issac`s paint the killer apears. So.. make`s me wonder.. isnt clarie boyfriend suspect for her father death in the last painting? I say this because u know he is terrified by “the man with Horn Rimmed Glasses”… But i can be wrong

If Isaac paints the future, why would he have painted Hiro and Kensei battling (ostensibly something that took place in the past?!)
Obvious isnt it… Kensai must still be alive in the current timeline as well..
that’s might be true. in the picture, hiro’s got his glasses back… soooo maybe.

maybe the reason why isaac was able to painting the battle between hiro and kensei was because although it happened in the past, it still occurred in hiro’s future

okay this sounds incredibly wrong but i think the guy kissing the blonde girl (clare) in painting 8 is nathan because that looks like his hair but it could be a father-daughter kisss u never know…and i know its clare yes because look back at the season 1 paintings of clare, its her!
painting 3 probably already happened, its when bob is giving mohinder the vile to give 2 monica with the virus

the guy kissing claire in #8 is either west[he has his enemity with HRG] or nathan(his hair as said by J)….the trapped girl is jessica most probably, trapped by the company maybe, or its possible that the chick is that veronica mars star who tried to find peter
Seriously you need to drop the whole Nathan kissing Claire thing thats just too messed up and would never be put into the show
I beleive its Nathan kissing Claire’s Biological Mother(Fire lady) and not West and Claire or Nathan and Claire. The guys hair is up in the kissing painting and Wests is down, and thats most definately Mohinder with the Gun in the other painting. The girl banging is Elle I think banging on teh side of a Freight.
