I think it has been great. It was character building, widening the plot line and explanations that were the main points and I think they did great.

One of the tings I love about this series is that you have people who want to be good, but fall short, good guys, villain (I mean, so far the only villain who admits to it is Sylar, everyone else is working for “the greater good”), and people everywhere in between. People who don’t care one way or another. I love the way everyone makes mistakes and how they are really characters. I love the way Maya’s brother was killed and Sylar made out with Maya afterwards like nothing happend. I love that he killed Maya when he didn’t need her anymore, because is shows so much of Sylars personality.

Moreover to all who wonders why Peter doesn’t just go to get Catlyn when he gets his memory back; he doesn’t have full control of his powers and unlike Hiro I can’t remember him ever time travel deliberately (except for future-episodes but they don’t count as he obviously has more training at said point). The characters aren’t gods, they make mistakes and blunder through life, which is so much better than heroes who can’t fail.

…and about Nathan. Of course he can’t be let to live if he wants to go public. If he is to survive he better be put into some kind of facility for a good season.

Anyways, here’s my take on the season.

Sure, it didn’t live up to Season 1. Mainly because Season 1 was absolutely friggin’ fantastic. And also because it was something new. I think Season 1 left us with such high expectations that the writer’s just fell short of it. I loved Season 2. I really enjoyed it. And no, I’m not of those people who think any story lines were a waste.

For example, Hiro’s story line in Japan was story building. There wouldn’t be much to talk about (as in the motives of Adam, Hiro vs. Adam, etc.) if his story line in Japan was cut short.

As for Monica, Maya, and Alejandro. Well, I’m thinking they’re some grand plan for them in the future. Otherwise, why would they introduce them?

I think Sylar has been overused. Out of all the characters, he’s one of my least favorite. And then there’s Peter. Ugh. Sure he has a big heart, but c’mon. He’s the most gullible person ever. He never thinks for himself. If someone tells him this is right, then he’ll think it’s right. He’s like a friggin’ puppet.

If the only way Nathan is going to live is by giving him a shot of someone’s blood, then I say let him remain dead. I really like Nathan, but to keep him alive that way will be to ruin everything. The reliance on the blood to keep people alive (already the use of Claire’s blood for Maya was too much) will ruin the season. Death doesn’t seem real anymore when one can always get a shot of Claire’s blood.
