Seth Green and Breckin Meyer in Talks to Join Heroes Season 3

By Sam | August 11, 2008 (3:51 pm)

Looks like fans of Cartoon Network’s late-night Robot Chicken will be getting a nice big laugh if everything works out as planned. According to Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly, best friends and Robot Chicken co-workers Seth Green and Breckin Meyer (Green is one of the show’s creators; Meyer provides voice work for the show) are in talks to join the third season of Heroes as recurring characters. Their roles? Comic book geeks who become advisers to one of the Heroes.

Here’s Ausiello:

As I first teased in this week’s episode of Ausiello TV, the Robot Chicken duo will play Atlanta-based comic book nerds aficionados who cross paths with (and perhaps serve as advisors to) one of the Heroes. I’m told the names of their characters are still in flux, so there’s a chance the cheeky monikers I referenced in ATV won’t stick. Then again, they very well may. (Fingers crossed that at least one of them does.)

So who will Green and Meyer’s character be “advising”? The obvious bet would seem to be Hiro, but then again, isn’t Monica and Micah currently doing the comic book heroine thing down in New Orleans? Maybe they’ll be taking their act on the road, like to Atlanta…

I’d rather have Seth Rogan and Kevin Smith, but you can’t always get what you want.

aww man seth green is everywhere already dont let heroes go down the comedy path its a serious show…. and this story line/plot sounds kinda stupid to me the heroes are supposed to find their own path,
anyone else agree?

You’ve alway got to have a bit of comedy on a serious show otherwise you get bogged down by it all…
I think shows that merge seriousness and comedy are a lot more better e.g. Life on Mars, Dr. Who, etc.

I mean Hiro isn’t exactly a serious character is he, it would be nice for a bit more comedy if we’re all for, what looks like, a scary, villians -laden volume.

Seth Green? The only thing I’ve really known him do all austin powers and buffy…

I think volume three will need some light relief if it’s as dark as it seems already. I’ll be glad to see Seth, he’s wonderful and would be good advising Hiro or Monica (haven’t seen enough of the other guy to form an opinion).

Don’t y’all realise what a great actor Seth Green is?! He’s been around for a very long time. Idle Hands, Can’t Hardly Wait, Without a Paddle. These are just some of his comiduc acting. He’s also been in other more serious roles. One of which I can’t remember the title but he plays a great bad guy. I would be stoked to see him on the show!
