Quick Heroes News: July 27, 2007

Leonard Roberts, aka D.L. Hawkins, may not be in Season 2 of Heroes (if everything we’ve heard is correct), but that doesn’t mean he’ll be jobless, either. Leonard has already landed and will be appearing in the production of E.M. Lewis’ Heads, to be presented by the Blank Theatre Company August 14-September 23, with an official opening August 18. Find more info about it here.

Milo Ventimiglia pictures from his new movie “Pathology”, where Milo plays “a medical student who devises a deadly game: to commit the perfect murder.” Some pictures from the movie, taken from somewhere, but posted over at Filmgecko. French gamemaker Ubisoft nabs the rights to produce Heroes: The Game, not to be confused with Heroes: The MOBILE Game. The long-in-the-works deal gives Ubisoft the rights to build a third-person superhero action game that brings the series characters, locations and story lines to next-generation game consoles and the PC. The untitled game could be in stores as soon as late 2008.

So how did Heroes did in its debut on the UK’s BBC2? According to the BBC, Heroes captured an audience of 4.3m, and was only was only beaten by ITV1’s Wire In The Blood. Not a bad showing for a show that has already aired in the UK on the digital Sci-Fi channel.

Greg Grunberg aka Matt Parkman is certainly not sitting on his duff, either. He’ll have a role in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Cloverfield” movie (real title still unknown). Grunberg calls himself Abrams’ “good luck charm”, and has been in every show Abrams has done that has become successful, including “Alias” and “Lost”, as well as Abrams’ recent “Mission Impossible III”. Now there are TWO Heroes castmembers working on Abrams movies — Grunberg on “Cloverfield” and Zachary Quinto on “Star Trek 11″!

More Milo Ventimiglia: He was recently on TMV’s TRL last Wednesday. Here’s a video of it:
