Pardon the Interruption
You may or may not have noticed, depending on which part of the country (or world) you are accessing the site from, but we are currently moving the site from our current host, Godaddy.com, to a new and (hopefully) much, much more stable host. At the moment the DNS is propagating, which affects different parts of the country/world in different intervals, so some of you may be accessing the old site, and some are being diverted to the new site at its new host. It will take approximately 1-2 full days for the DNS propagation to be complete.
The biggest problem right now will be the forum, which you won’t be able to access (if you are on the new site) until I have restored its database. Depending on how complex this is, it can take a day or more, or maybe I’ll get it done by midnight. I can’t really tell you for sure until I do it. But for now, the main page itself is online, it’s just the forum that still needs work.
Be patient with us. We are doing this in an attempt to prevent further outages similar to what we have been experiencing throughout the day, and quite often in the past. Once the move is over, we should be with a great new host (thanks, Nexcess.net!), and they’ll keep us online longer and with greater reliability.
So stay tune, and thank you for your patience.
ADDED: The forum should be back online and functioning again.
