Lee’s Japanese is much better than George Takei’s and significantly better than most JSL speakers I met in Japan. I’m disappointed Takei doesn’t take his Japanese lines more seriously. He sounds like a robot breaking every 3rd work regardless of meaning. Just because your parents’ speak a language doesn’t mean you can.

James Kyson Lee’s interest in playing another japanese role I find extremely disturbing. If perhaps James looked japanese or could speak japanese well, then or I would grudgingly accept it. However that is not the case.
