New Poll: Hiro vs. Sam Beckett — WHO YA GOT?
Okay, sci-fi fans, here’s a poll for you to take a swing at: who would win in a fight if Dr. Sam Beckett from “Quantum Leap” tangled with Hiro Nakamura of “Heroes”? One has the power to bend time and space, the other gets to leap uncontrollably into people’s bodies in the past and right wrongs. Wait, that doesn’t sound like much of a match, right? But consider these points, including the strengths and weaknesses of both heroes:
Dr. Sam Beckett:
Strengths: Brilliant scientist, mathematician, doctor, and martial arts expert.
Weaknesses: Can’t control his time-leaping. He really doesn’t have any powers.
Hiro Nakamura:
Strengths: Duh. He can bend time and space.
Weaknesses: He can bend time and space, but he doesn’t have control of his powers yet. Plus, he’s kind of a comic book dork.
Third-party factor:
Both men have not-all-that-able assistance from best buds. Hiro has fellow cubicle dweller Ando, while Sam has Al the hologram. In a fight, Al wouldn’t really be able to assist Sam since he’s just a hologram; and really, Ando doesn’t look like much of a fighter. Conclusion: Neither men has any real help.
Possible Hidden Advantage:
Dude, Sam Beckett has God on his side!!
