New Poll: Do You Care that Zach is No Longer Gay?

By Sam | December 17, 2006 (3:29 pm) | More: Cast: Thomas Dekker (as Zach), Heroes Poll Questions

Earlier this week there was a controversy over the character of Zach (played by Thomas Dekker) and rather he was gay, and if he was, then why did he get “ungay”. Tim Kring has come out and said that Yes, Zach was originally supposed to be gay, but somewhere along (the timetable seems to point to the “Homecoming” episode) that Zach was “un-gay’ed” by the network. There are reports that Dekker’s camp wanted the change, not wishing for their actor to be associated with a gay character.

Regardless of who is responsible or what their motivations were, the question is: Do you care that Zach is no longer gay? Or did it even matter back when he was gay?

Take the poll in the sidebar!

It didn’t matter whether he was gay or not.but because he was so obviously portrayed as a gay character, he should have stayed a gay character.i don’t think it bothered ANYONE, and it was cool cos he fitted in with claire’s storyline. he was a great character and it sucks that he’s being “de-gayed”(?), and that he’s leaving
