Mohinder to Lose his Narrator Job in Season 3?

By Sam | April 2, 2008 (11:27 am) | More: Cast: Sendhil Ramamurthy (as Mohinder Suresh), Featured, Heroes Season 3 Spoilers/News

According to one of Michael Ausiello’s daily column over at TV Guide, there are changes afoot for Heroes Season 3, in particular the part (or should we say, voice) of the narrator. As we all know, Mohinder Suresh (aka Sendhill Ramamurthy) is the voice that usually opens and closes each episode of Heroes, and has been for the last two seasons. So why change it up now? We don’t know, but according to Ausiello, Mohinder Suresh’s job as the show’s narrator may just have been outsourced — to an Aussie, of all people.

Says Ausiello about the potential Season 3 change-up:

“Someone may be moving in on Mohinder’s narrator turf. Tim Kring is said to be seeking an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice.”

Mohinder’s voiceovers is one of the show’s constants — why change it up now? Is Mohinder going somewhere?

Gee, we hope not.

I love my TV guide scoop king, but he’s making a guess based on what can only be a casting notice. Being a storytelling does not make you the narrator, don’t worry people, he’s just guessing and trying to get people talking. And don’t forget the word “may”. The man is reaching.

you racist bastard marth. aboriginal people have an awesome sotry telling voice. i say bring it on. lets see what the bloke can do. i for one am an australian, loving the show heroes. by having mohinder narrating. he says parts of the previous episode that the character himself doesnt even know about. i did believe he mohinder was a good character for it. but i think bringing in someone new is a good thing. specially a soothing story teller from an aboriginal. cheers

i am so completely in-love with the story line of HEROES. it has been a very good series and it is unfortunate that the writers have gotten in the way of the series being shot and/or showed. lucky us, they will be airing soon. the Mohinder subject is a bit ify for me. i think Sendhil Ramamurthy as the narrator should remain BUT how can one narrate something that they have no knowledge of? he, as we have learned, is still relatively new to Earth as we know it and is not “all knowing”. i think bring in another voice is good for that simple fact. we have all learned in the past episodes that their is one man who has lived for the past 400 years… we have also learned that Hiro has travel through time. either of those voice (or voice of the same) who probably be best in the telling of that part of the storys history. just a thought and if nothing else, the writters could parallel naratives. the watchers could veiw the happens as they were, how they are though to be and anticipate the outcome of. first and foremost, no one can get offended by the writers choice. this is just a story for our enjoyment.

as they say, we all have an opinion.

Mohinder’s voice is very sweet. Love to listening is voice in the begining of the episodes. Please don’t take is place of narator!

mohinder rocks

get rid of the new guy

Really bad idea, Mohinder is the perfect narrator for the show and I can see no reason why it needs changing. I think the same narrator is needed throughout the whole series to keep the atmosphere from the previous series alive.

Why the Hell change it? Thats one of the best parts of Heroes. Sendhils voice is perfect for it if you ask me. Don’t be a D-bag Tim Kring. Season 3 does need some changes so it won’t suck like season 2 did but changing the narrator is not one of them I assure you. Don’t do it buddy or you’ll have a lot of pissed of fans I promise you.

ohhhh what i feel is that mohinder’s voice is the best for that… and no one can get that place… he makes the mood for the on go series… a want to see kind of a thing… if someone who hasnt watched heroes and happen to just come across the narration along with the previous episode am sure to fish out for all the previous episodes… trust me.. let him continue his wonderful job…

it is not great all!!!

His indian accent is really annoying. It is like someone talking with a candy in the mouth. Good decision for Tim.

Don’t go an screw up a good thing you got going with Mohiner Suresh (sendhil) narration. Its already inbuilt in our psyche that at the beginning of every episode the voice of Mohinder Suresh kicks off the episode. The guys doing a well good job and his voice sorta calms one which helps when the episode begins coz then the adrenalin rush from the suspense hits real high.

DONT CHANGE HIM FOR AN ANNOYING ABORIGINIE

Sopi on May 12, 2008

Changes are better but sometimes good thing should remain as it is like Mohinder’s voice narration. Generally, I don’t think changing the way season 1 and season 2 which being narrated by Mohinder will do justice on show’s appeal. His eccentric accent and sultry voice gives character to the show.

Australian aborigine? Why not get an African descent with Latino blood and having an accent of an Asian? Now satisfied?

Ravenclaw on May 12, 2008

Could everyone please stop making racist like comments! Just because you don’t like that Suresh might not be the narrator any more does NOT mean that you can just spill out your anger on Australians! And if you are racist to Australians than just say that you don’t want the narrator to change, and say that Suresh does a good job! You don’t have to say what you think about Australians if your a racist! I know some of the people who made those comments aren’t racist, but to those people your comments sound like they are. So please, choose your words more wisely.

indian girl on June 2, 2008

totally right ravenclaw. as for Jan, thnks fr ur comment. it was really nice, not. the reason his accent is weird is because he is british and he has to go from having a british accent to an indian one as well as a semi- english one. so don’t blame him. and indian accents rn’t annoying by the way, maybe its just u.
