Milo Ventimiglia Joins Heist Film Armored

By Sam | January 25, 2008 (11:25 am)

The writers strike may have put a damper on new Heroes episodes, but the cast and crew of Heroes isn’t exactly sitting still twiddling their thumbs. One of the more active actors working outside the Heroes universe is Milo Ventimiglia, who just wrapped production on the big Hollywood thriller “Game” and the independent film “Chaos Theory”, and has now joined the all-star cast of the heist film “Armored”.

More:

Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno and Milo Ventimiglia have signed on to Screen Gems’ heist actioner “Armored.”

Nimrod Antal (”Vacancy”) will direct from a screenplay by James V. Simpson. Matt Dillon, Columbus Short, Fred Ward and Skeet Ulrich have already boarded the project, which is shooting in Los Angeles.

Story centers on a young armored car guard who is persuaded by his veteran cohorts to empty a truck of its $10 million cargo.

I’m guessing Milo will play the “young armored car guard”, as neither Fishburne or Reno are all that young. The film will be produced by Sam Raimi of “Evil Dead” and “Spider-Man” fame.
