Masi Oka to Get Smarter in Steve Carell Spin-off Movie
The remake of “Get Smart”, starring Steve Carell (”The 40-Year Old Virgin”) hasn’t even hit theaters yet (it’s coming 2008), but that isn’t stopping Warner Brothers from planning a spin-off movie, “Get Smarter: Bruce & Lloyd Out of Control”, a direct-to-DVD movie that will be released on DVD exactly 10 days after the Steve Carell movie shows up in theaters. In “Get Smarter”, Masi Oka plays Bruce, a geeky tech (of course) who also shows up in the big-budget “Get Smart” movie. Bruce’s partner-in-crime Lloyd is played by Nate Torrence (”Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”).
Besides “Get Smarter”, Masi is already cast in the Blackjack thriller “21″.
