Madeline Zima is Claire’s New College Roommate
Some of you may remember Madeline Zima from the CBS comedy The Nanny, back when she was just a little girl. She played Grace, the little one. Well she’s all grown up, and recently shed her child star image by appearing in the risque Showtime show Californication with David Duchovny. She’s now moved on to NBC’s Heroes, where she’ll be playing Claire’s new college roommate in the upcoming Season 4 in a number of episodes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zima’s character, named Gretchen, is described as a “quirky outsider” who boards with Claire during her stay at a Washington D.C.-era college. Zima will be showing up in a multi-episode arc, so she’ll be there for a while.
Claire’s college days will apparently be very eventful (as chronicled somewhat here). Besides the impending divorce of her adopted parents HRG and Sandra, someone on campus dies, and the death draws her in. No word if that death is Zima’s Gretchen.
