Jamie Hector Talks Heroes Volume 3

Francisco over at www.seriesblog.es alerted me to an actor named Jamie Hector, who is one of the stars of HBO’s critically acclaimed crime show The Wire. Hector has joined the cast of Heroes, appearing in the still-unseen Volume 3. According to Hector, who apparently isn’t allowed to talk too much about his role on the show, he plays a character named Benjamin Knox Washington. He doesn’t say how the character fits into the show, but he did tell LAist that he had already “shot a couple episodes” of the show — episodes that have yet to be seen because of the strike.

My character’s name on Heroes is Benjamin Knox Washington. I can’t really disclose much about him, but I can tell you it’s a lot of fun. So many special effects — and it all winds up looking so real. The set is different — it’s warmer outside, obviously — and in Baltimore, since most of us are not from Baltimore, we all hang out and go to dinner after shooting. We’re like a family.
That’s all we know about Hector’s Knox character on Heroes for now. We’ll either see him in Volume 3 when Season 2 continues if the strike ends soon, or we’ll have to wait until Season 3 to finally see his character. Then again, if this strike never ends, maybe we’ll never see him.

I think it was Peter who shot Nathan. Future Peter, I mean. Remember season 1 where they were talking about ...

I have a feeling Peter will become a villain, i don't know why but he will be forced to go ...

am I the only one who thinks he’s secretly the same actor who plays the young Haitian..hmm haha no but they do look very similar right??
im really excited to see how he’s gunna play out in the heroes storyline……..maybe he’ll be the person to bring monica’s story into the light and worth everything we’ve seen??..hmm
just hope the strike ends sooooooooooon! ..i need my heroes fix

Knox, age 25. He is a “frightening and intense” African-American officer “with the eyes of a predator”. Knox has returned to New Orleans with “plans to reclaim the criminal territory he used to run before he was sent to prison. This recurring character will appear in episodes thirteen and fourteen, and “possibly more to come”.

if you watch the volume 3 teaser video u will see knox, i think, it looks like he kills a cop, you can see his arm covered in blood, i think so anyway check it out

why judge the new orleans storyline right at the beginning? its not even half way thru and im sure itll tie into everything else, if this know guy is a villain then sweet we need more villains on the show, im just curious what eyes of the predator means super sight? like that of an eagle or something that would be kinda cool like finding out info on someones cell phone from miles away i dunno i just hope we get our heroes back soon, i also think its cool that monica becomes saint joan because thats a character from issacs books and remember he can paint / draw the future so maybe she was ment to be saint joan all along

With out new characters our people won’t have any new storylines. New characters don’t have to mean new regualars. Eden, Claude, Charlie — etc those are all ‘other’ characters added to the show. If they didn’t meet new people nothing new would happen, they would all just
“fly” in circles.

as a fan of the wire i am estactic about seeing “Marlo” on the show.
he’s real ruthless and very smart on the wire. i hope they bring some of that to his character on Heroes… when i saw the headline i was really hoping he was going to be a good guy… but most goodies on the show perish so maybe he’ll last a few seasons. maybe he’ll be the one to whoop sylar. lol.. yea right.

I hate the Monica character and I’m sure I’ll hate this one also. They don’t get it, we don’t want tons of new characters anymore, we want to see the ones we have grow in new ways.

how can they grow if they dont encounter new ppl?
monica will be essential to the heroes coming together to stop the villains… yea her storylines in season 2 were a lil dull but she will begin to step out on her own and handle business accordingly.. she’s the one that will be wielding a knife around jumping from building to building if you didnt know… and she only slipped up once.. she’ll bounce back.
and how come everyone seems to hate the black characters?
majority of the characters are white american, there needs to be more diversity on the show.
more Asian, Middle Eastern, Russian, African, lol.. even Alaskan would do.
give me a break w/that i want to see the old characters grow.. smh. thats why ppl in real life are so shallow they are scared to meet new ppl.

Knox’s character was described by Kriz (above) as a “frightening and intense” African-American officer “with the eyes of a predator”. if you watch the volume 3 teaser u will see knox after he has killed someone, his poise, the way he moves, is very animal like, like a predator, and his characters storyline is about him reclaiming his territory, also animal like. his characteristics, as part of his power, a violent, powerful and efficient predator, also with the stronger, better senses that predators in the wild posess, i.e. vision (eyes of a predator), sense of smell, and can hear better etc

yea when i saw the teaser i just saw him move real fast towards that cop and punched his arm through his stomach.
he’s probably just real fast w/a lil bit of super strength.
we havent seen a character w/enhanced eye sight yet, so maybe that could be one of them.
but i doubt they give him all of those powers.
there not too many characters w/multiple powers… u kno the exceptions.
but maybe they will so that him and Slyar HAVE to work together b/c they both realize how powerful and useful the other can be.

I hope he is a villain, even though they gave us a clue in the spoilers.I hope his character gets a good storyline unlike last season where the new characters didn’t have a good storyline and i agree with heroes for hire, we need a diverse cast so that everyone can relate to.I still think he and sylar should come together and terrorize the heroes.

im not sure sylar is the kind of vilian that wud work along with other vilians with powers, he wants power, i think he may have freed the 12 to cause chaos for the heroes, a distraction for them so he can the chance to take more powers with less chance of being stopped by the heroes

i doubt it cause sylar, like you said loves powers why would he let the others kill the heroes, i think he didnt free them i think angela did cause sylar is a solo type he doesnt want anything in his way he wants to get powers and get revenge. I think that knox will have a more intense power i mean what can be as good as multiple powers that sylar has? like HRG said its like 12 sylars running free meaning they wont just lock them up if they know they cant harm good

i dont think Sylar is all about revenge.
when you saw him w/his mom he wanted her to tell him that he was special the way he was… he didnt want to hurt ppl for no reason. and there really isnt any reason for him to want revenge on the Heroes. at least not yet.
i mean he may be mad at Peter but its all about competition to him… not revenge.
he may not see Knox as “real” competition. unlike Peter. so he may not mind the help. of course he not going to let him kill the ppl w/the powers he wants… that would be ludicrous.
but even villains have sidekicks…
o… and what about when Sylar learns of Adam Monroe?
even if he took his brain cant Adam grow it back… i mean this guy blew up!

maybe so but knox came from somewhere he cant harm anyone, why would he be placed there if he cant kill so i highly doubt that what knox is gonna do is just damage and sylar right now hes getting revenge on the person who injected him and that hes first priority to find or maybe kill that person. like i said, knox came from somewhere he cant harm anyone what makes u sure he will follow anyone so i disagree with you that sylar needs a sidekick(wether you used it as a metaphor or not)and about the adam manroe thing yea he did blow up but he can regenerate fast what makes you sure the damage reached his brain?

Ando wont have a power he needs to be normal, cuz hes hiros side kick the one who tries to understand how special hiro actualy is if he gains a power it will unbalance their partnership. thats just my thought, the new hero vote thing should be cool i hope its a totally new character with super speed

i was just joking around with knox and sylar coming together to terorize our heroes but i think this character should really be interesting and i hope his powers different from the others that we have seen on heroes so far.it would make the story more interesting.

WHY WOULDNT SYLAR AND KNOX COME TOGETHER MAYBE WORK TOGETHER FOR A WHILE TILL SYLAR BETRAYS HIM? SYLAR DID PAIR UP WITH 2 OTHERS WITH POWERS AND DID NOT BETRAY THEM TILL HE GOT WHAT HE WANTEDMAYBE KNOX WILL HAVE SOMETHING HE WANTS OR NEEDS BESIDES HIS POWERS BUT MAYBE KNOX ISNT A BAD GUY IT DOES SAY HE IS AN “OFFICER” BUT THEN AGAIN MAYBE A CROOKED COP?WHO KNOWS…
