Is Sean Bean the Villain Sylar?

By Sam | October 26, 2006 (10:30 am) | More: Heroes Cast/Crew Updates

Has English actor Sean Bean (”Goldeneye”, “Lord of the Rings”) been added to the cast of “Heroes” as the superpowered villain Sylar, who according to Isaac’s paintings, will soon be stalking our favorite Texas cheerleader in search of her brains? IMDB.com seems to think so, having listed Bean as playing a character named “Paul Sylar” for two episodes, but then I got this cryptic little email earlier this morning:

Sylar

I can’t tell you who it IS… but I can tell you who it ISN’T…

:)

Sylar isn’t played by Sean Bean - I just checked with his people.

Cheers

Curiouser and curiouser…

  1. hahaha. it’s been over a year since this post was made as i can tell. even though i am a heroes newbie (on episode 16 or so of the first season. just got into it two weeks ago after bashing it for about a year. sooo addicting), i can see why people thought sean bean was going to be sylar. the first appearance did look like an older man. it would be a different show though. that’s a nice twist i have to say of making sylar not some creepy 50 year old man but a crazy deranged young-ish guy.
also now reading this has destroyed my credibility of imdb.
