During a trip to the Edinburgh TV Festival (wow, they have festivals for TV now?), Tim Kring, creator and God-like dude on Heroes, “let slip” the title of the forthcoming Volume 4 (which will take up the second half of Season 3). The title? It’s called “Fugitives”. As you may or may not know, Volume 3′s “Villians” won’t take up the entirety of Season 3, and according to this article from Digital Spy, it will only last for 13 episodes, after which “Fugitives” will pick up a new story arc and take it to the end of the season where, no doubt, we’ll be treated to a cliffhanger.
Here’s the news from Digital Spy:
I come to you straight from a session at the Edinburgh TV Festival with Heroes creator Tim Kring, where he let slip the title of volume four.
And it is… drum roll…. ‘Fugitives’!
The third season, beginning here and in the US at the end of next month, will comprise two volumes: the well-documented ‘Villains’, which will run to 13 episodes, then ‘Fugitives’, which will make up the remaining 12.
So whatever happens in “Villains” will lead directly into “Fugitives”. Are we talking about the villains becoming fugitives, or some of the heroes becoming fugitives? Or perhaps the presence of the villains will force our heroes to become fugitives? Let the speculation begin.
To sum it up: “Villains” will run for 13 episodes, after which “Fugitives” will run the final 12 episodes of Season 3.
