Heroes Volume 4 in 2009, Volume 3 Ending Revealed, Casting, Someone Dies — SPOILERS!!
A couple of Heroes news stories for you today, which will probably be our last post until Monday in deference to the long upcoming Thanksgiving weekend and all. Let’s begin: For those wondering, once Heroes’ current Volume 3 “Villains” storyline concludes with the December 15 episode “Duality” (formerly “War”), any hope of seeing a new Heroes episode won’t happen until February 2009, according to NBC’s latest press release, which has both Heroes and Chuck being temporarily replaced on the January schedule by a couple of new shows: Superstars of Dance and Momma’s Boys. The first is a dance competition show, and the latter is some kind of reality TV show produced by Ryan Seacrest of American Idol fame. Yeah, I guess that means no NBC for me in January.
I’m not sure exactly when Heroes Volume 4 “Fugitives” will commence (or if it’ll be preceded by reruns of the current season when it returns in February), but in any case, once “Duality” premieres, it’ll be a while before we get any new Heroes episodes. Mark your calendars for February.
Meanwhile, on the topic of Heroes Volume 3, Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) recently revealed a BIG SPOILER to Kristin over at E! Online about what to expect in the episode “Duality”, which will end in one of those mega cliffhangers that will have fans of the show salivating to find out what happens next. And oh yeah, expect more deaths.
One of [the heroes] will die soon, and personally, it’s not who I was hoping for! (This death also puts an end to a new love story as we know it.) However, I’m also hearing that the powers that be may be doing some more thorough house-cleaning among the Heroes cast, thanks to a little Lost-like catastrophe at the end of the current “Villains” volume. Last night at the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Grove (an outdoor shopping mecca here in L.A.), Greg Grunberg spilled to me: “There’s a huge plane crash, and all of us are involved…I’ll tell you this, it’s not Oceanic 815, and I’m not in the pilot seat. More on that big ol’ plane crash: I’m told Hunter (Zeljko Ivanek, pictured, above right) captures many of our favorite Heroes and loads them onto a transport plane. (Think prisoners heading to Guantánamo Bay.) When the plane goes down, “You don’t know who survives,” says Grunny. When asked if Angela Petrelli would be joining their nondirty “mile-high club,” Cristine Rose tells me, “I’m getting old, I don’t see myself parachuting.” So could that be how some of our Heroes survive? More importantly, did the plane go down because Desmond forgot to key in the numbers in the Hatch?
Looks like Tim Kring really is “cleaning house”. I just hope it’s not another typical Heroes “death” — you know, the kind where people don’t stay dead? Seriously, the whole concept of death on Heroes has become something of a joke.
On the casting front, One Tree Hill actress Moira Kelly (pictured, left) will be joining Heroes Season 3 in Volume 4 as a Homeland Security agent, along with Dan Byrd from Aliens in America. What, they couldn’t get Clea DuVall to reprise her role of Audrey Hanson?

Sources spill that One Tree Hill and West Wing alum Moira Kelly will be playing Abby Collins, a Homeland Security agent, in at least one episode of the “Fugitives” volume (the next chunk of episodes in the current third season). We happy about this? Do tell in the comments below.
• In case you haven’t heard, Dan Byrd of Aliens in America has a recurring role in “Fugitives,” and I can spill that his character Luke’s power is microwaves that are strong enough fry people. Luke goes on the road with Sylar seeking adventure and excitement, but poor unlucky kid’s probably just going to get debrained for his trouble.

I wonder who’s going to be on this plane trip and who will survive. Heroes is like a comic so the whole “staying dead” does get a little out of hand. Don’t get me wrong…I love comics as well as Heroes. It looks like , to kill someone, you will have to cut the head, arms and legs off the person and burn them along with the torso. After burning mail the ashes to different parts of the world to be placed in cement at the bottom of a new building being made. Whoo…that was a long sentence. Sorry guys.

what sucks about heroes now is that characters never stay dead now, death is a joke on heroes. I mean come on Arthur P. is alive, that was a really dumb story line.
i honestly hope this has season 4 showing a world that has finally found out about people with powers, or at least the gov’t.
A world where heroes are hunted down by the gov’t or another agency (ala william stryker & sentinels) would be infinitely more interesting than the current environment.

Wow, that sounds like a really cool idea and I hope that’s where they’re going with this. I guess it’s because I was such a huge X-Men fan though but I would love the whole government trying to take down these people who are “different” and then they all have to choose to fight the government or refuse to fight (except they kind of already did that this season). I think that could be really really interesting though.
oh yea and deaths, not so much author as nathans… we still havent been told how he managed to come back from being shot.

umm i may be mistaken but no it did not explain how nathan survied, he never even had claires blood he had adams from the season b4 but i dunno if that would work on later injuries….. if transfering power was as simple as injecting one with anothers blood i think surresh would have found that out by now(he’s not THAT dumb) i kinda like surresh tho how he was such a pure guy in s1 and how he has fallen so far into evil, just goes to show that the heroes may not always be heroes.
I don’t know what the problem is with people staying alive. This happens all the time in real life, and I see a lot of people saying ‘oh, if this person dies I’m not going to watch it again’ and then the person dies and they start a petition for the person to stay alive, and when they come back they say the show is ruined beacause nobody stay dead anymore.
Come on, other than Arthur and Nathan, I don’t know anyone who was suppose to be dead and it isn’t.
I think Moira Kelly was chosen over Clea DuVall because the latter is doing another show on FOX, right? Virtuality? But yeah, I would have liked to see her back as well.
But yeah… I hope Volume 4 is better than Volume 3… but then again, I hoped Volume 3 would be better than Volume 2 XD But it’ll be nice to see some connectivity between the volumes (I think)
what was wrong with the FIRST part of volume 3? i thought it was an excellent save from the(also good and dont see what everyone is bitching about) season 2, volume 3 is in depth and interesting the only thing i would like to see is at least one all out hero villian battle

Well, I like being shocked, so my tip, don’t read to much on the internet (my first time about heroes, damn)
Here is some amazing scenes that surprised be. Good scenes:
* The scene where they reveald who shoot Nathan
* When Arthur was still alive.
Hope more of these will come. It’s more, but they didn’t surprise me that big.
My tip to the writers is that they change the future, like they did at the end of volum one. When NY was supose to blow up. From there they could kind of start from the beginning. No need to connect those time-travel scenes that took us in the future with the present scenes. If you catch my drift.

No one talking about who is the one to die? If I was to take “a new love story” into account, then I think it would be either Sylar or Elle. Since it is said that Elle will have Sylar’s kid, then maybe it’s Sylar who will die. Kinda make sense in real life since Zac “Spock” Quinto would be busy promoting Star Trek soon. But storyline wise, without Sylar Heroes would be far less interesting…
And on another note, why it is always GREG GRUNBERG who gives us all the spoilers? Isn’t he afraid that the producers would shut him up soon?

sylar can die because the eclipse is still happening which means he can’t use him powers.
Im quite intrigued about the plane crash and i can see this as being a catalyst for Peter Petrelli to step up as the main hero again. If there is indeed a hunter after the heroe’s then Peter won’t be a part of it as he has lost all his powers. This could lead to Peter being an integral part of releasing the heroes. Then again, even though Peter has lost his powers, if he is on board the plane that crashes then he is pretty much kersplat.
Either way i can’t wait to see what happens!
Look at both pics carefully and you will see the dead girl is clearly Elle because not only is it a blonde with the same shirt but also wearing the same little blue shorts in both pics, look close at the second picture and you to will be the most observant person alive.

Well, I would like to see clea duvall make a return, that is my girl. I say give clea’s charachter Audrey Hanson a promotion, and make her like the cool mean FBI chick, she did it so well in season one. I just would want to see her make a one of her snyde comments to parkman about how he has found the right girl and she’s really happy for him.

I’ve waited and waited for this epic battle between peter and sylar both with maxed out powers. Something like we saw in Season One Episode Five Years Gone. But this season has pushed that battle so far back it may never happen. Powerless Peter last year had no Memory First year couldn’t control his powers… Will this guy ever get a chance to actually do something??? Sylar now jumping back and forth from good to evil??? Personally I liked him on the dark side. Hoping in Feb we can see some real action not just a bunch of hide and seek from the government!!

Well I’m sorry to say this but I think it’s elle. What a shame. I think that they need something to kinda reboot Peter’s, Sylar’s, and Papa Petrelli’s powers back to square one. Also I think it is a good idea to clean house with the characters. Here are is a list of characters , I think, should not be “killed”. Heroes(Peter,only if he doesn’t get his powers back or only has a few of them, Claire, only if they can get off of this sob story of “I’m helpless, save me save the world”, Matt, yeah can’t go wrong with him, Hiro, only if he start be the bad(beep) he is in the future, and Daphne, she ok for now. Villains(Sylar, only if he gets his powers reduced a little, Mama Petrelli, why wouldn’t you want a psycho mom on the show, Nathan, that’s right I said it he should be one of them, and Tracy, at least she can control her power’s now. Unknown’s, people we aren’t sure if they are Heroes or Villains or a little of both(Mohinder, he is to quiet other wish, HRG, he is just really good at being bad, and Ando, basing this off of one future scene but he seem that he could be either or. people they need to bring back(Micah and Molly, where are the kids with powers. Now I’m not going to say “I won’t watch it if they don’t do this” because they is just not many show this cool on, with all the (fracking, excuse my BattleStar profanity)reality shows on.
It doesn’t bother me in the slightest that elle may die. I agree with cornflakes. As long as nothing happens to Sylar, Peter or Claire I’m good. Loved tonight’s episode btw! Way freakin’ better than last week.
The show is beginning to suck. If you look back over this season we have gone nowhere. Really beginning to lose interest. They should have never killed off Niki, Micah or Clair’s boyfriend from last season. Too many people just disappear.

When someone says “Heroes death,” I know what they mean. But c’mon, haven’t you seen? I can make a list of seriously dead heroes!
1. Niki (This one might not count)
2. Adam Monroe
3. Thompson
4. Isaac Mendez
5. Simone Deveaux
6. Elle (I’m pretty sure)
7. Linderman (he did not come back, Matt’s dad made it look like he did)
8. Alejandro (This one is questionable)
I don’t care what anyone says. By episode 3, I was happy with what they did (excluding episode 6… I think). People are expecting it to be better that the first season (no show ever is)and being whiny when it doesn’t top it. Saying things like “Heroes sucks now” “They should just kill this person.” That doesn’t mean it’s declining (Season 3 is better than 2). I am not a blind follower, I just am sick of all the dumb soap operas and typical shows that do all of these things. America is turning into Rome (I mean in theater timeline, which ends with Rome falling because they became too dumb).

I saw new pictures for “Fugitives”,& Peter’s alive(I hope it’s stay that way) that’s 1 of him that’s his chest sliced open,& I think he dies in a plane crash,but he woke up in a mouge(because he injected w/ a formla & abosrbs claire’s power). I saw another picture of he’s in a dressing room w/ hadyie(claire)(they’re so cute together!) while they was shooting heroes “Fugitives” on Monday.
I heard there’s a rumor that’s hiro’s going 2 die,& ando’s ending up w/ his sister. It’s saying “a death to a hero(personal) and lead to a beginning of a new love story”,I think which they means. I think peter’s ending up to having hiro’s sword.
I read this on another site that’s daphane & doyle will be back in “fugitives”,& I also read maya & molly’ll be in it,too. This sounds really funny that’s molly’s in India w/ mohinder’s grandparents.
Propably volume 5′ll be call “Mutations”,& volume 6′ll be “Exictintions” for season 4.

the only other new love story in this volume is nathen and whats her face which has barly began, and mohinder and maya which has almost ended already.

Yathaarth…dont worry. i’m sure you know just as the rest of us that the writers always leave themselves some type of hidden escape route to get around any type of SNAFFU’s they might get themselves into. watch the world actually end up cracking in half and some person w/ the power to control earth come along (like what’s his face from captain planet, lol) and pull the earth back together…LOL. seriously though…if it does happen someone will probably just travel back in time.
oh, and as for the plane crash…that’s supposed to happen in vol. 4 and for those who don’t know vol. 3 and vol. 4 make up SEASON 3. tim kring said that they split season 3 into two volumes as opposed to each season being a specific volume.
Well some people will be happy, the gov will be involved. i wonder if they know Nate can fly. i kinda liked the end of vol 3, with peter getting his powers back and all, now he is super strong

WHat id like to know is that with Elle’s death how can Sylar possibly become a father now? I like Sylar going bad but there was NO reason to kill Elle as he had already mastered her power anyway. Elle would have made a good sidekick for Sylar as she was tempting him several times. I tell u these alternate futures are BS. Not one of them has come even remotely true. And to make matters worse the EVERY storyline starts with an alternate future that must be changed but it never comes true at all. Honestly this show reminds me Alias, characters constantly go from good to bad, bad to good, that it becomes a bad soap opera with excellent CG.
