Heroes to Hit DVD Late 2007

Wonder when “Heroes” is finally going to hit DVD so you can finally follow the adventures of Hiro and Heroes at your own leisure, and maybe indulge in a behind-the-scenes extra or two? There are tentative news about the upcoming DVD via this article about singer Krystal Meyer, whose songs will be appearing on various NBC shows, including “Heroes”. The date isn’t set in stone, and are subject to change.
Here’s the good part of the article:
“Dove Award-nominated artist Krystal Meyers is excited to share that her song, �Together,� from her latest album, Dying For A Heart, will continue to be used by NBC throughout 2007 for promotional purposes. Beginning in October 2006, NBC called on the song to be used in promotional efforts behind their hit, drama �Heroes.� The network now has plans to include the song in several DVD releases of their hit primetime shows. The DVDs will be available between September and December of 2007. In addition, Krystal�s song will remain a feature on NBC�s music website for the rest of the year.”

This is idiocy! Why wait until after the second season has begun to release the dvds? They did the same thing with other series and all it does in encourage piracy.
I think this is a great idea.. as soon as the season is over, take it to dvd! alot of people would get into the show more if they had a chance to watch all of the episodes before season 2 started. I turned several people on to the show when it was off during holidays that hadnt seen it from watching it on dvr. Bring on the dvds sooner!
This is so ridiculous! I have been waiting since forever to get the first season of Heroes on DVD. I went to NBC.com and tried to watch the episodes I missed online, but my computer is a piece of crap, and it would not dispolay properly. I know what is going on, but I do want to see the episodes I missed before the second season is over.
OH YEAH! give me that dvd goodness! I can’t wait to see all them extra goodies!!!
hi im from the UK, if the dvd is coming out at the end of 2007, will that be for everyone or for americans only? if so, i cannot wait ne longer than i have to so i may have to purchase an american dvd player coz their dvds dont play in UK players….weird but still….

This makes no sense, surely they would maxmise dvd sales if they bought out the DVD towards the end of season 1, once the series is over why on earth would you buy it, you’ve just seen it!
Also how do you watch the episodes on the NBC web site, I’m from the UK and so it says it can’t show them in my region is there anyway of getting around this. Jeff T is right this just encourges people to downwload it from another source. The UK has a massive piracy problem, so moves like this don’t add up especially as S1 won’t probably come out here until next year.
i think that they should publish the dvd sooner than later. Im sick of tv series that have people wait longer than they should. jeff t do you know wen it is actually going to be availble?
