Heroes: The Recruit Webisode Part 5 (of 5) The Truth Within
If you’ve been following NBC’s latest original webisode series, “The Recruit”, then you’re probably wondering what will become of Private Rachel Mills, the heroine of the series. In the latest and final episode, part 5, titled, “The Truth Within”, Mills is finally allowed to leave The Company’s facility by Angela. Finally free, Mills reveals a secret about herself. Or, as the title implies, within her, so to speak. Like the most recent webisode series, the ending of “The Recruit” offers up one of those last-second twist endings, though for some reason this one comes across as less satisfying than the previous series, “Destiny”.
You can watch “The Truth Within” and all five episodes of the original webisode series over at NBC’s official Heroes site here. A Hulu version is embedded below. (Universal version coming soon…)

Universal version please:P
Woah!? Didn’t see that coming! I cannot wait for Vol. 4!
Oh no, the girl who can TELEPORT has been grabbed by that big guard.Wonder how she’ll get out of that one.
It was an ok end to the webisodes, but the ‘your parent is dead…oh no theyre not’ twist was done in Destiny, so by the mere mention of Rachels mother by name last week my suspicions were aroused.
I liked the part where Rachel hid the serum in her arm, and I was also relieved to find she was wondering if it can cure her. Until now I wasn’t so sure why she took the formula, but that makes sense.
Overall, I look forward to seeing this work into Volume 4 somehow. Rachel would be a great addition to the cast.
the dude said “it will take a few hours to wear off” when he took her off the drip, listening is your friend
she could have just teleport away
Is it just me or since when did hulu start working outside of America? I tried it to see if it would work, just in case, and it did. Don’t know if it’ll work for anyone else but there’s no harm in trying.
And I agree, good up until the last episode which, unfortunately, was quite disappointing I thought.
Yay for hulu working outside the States!! Heck yes!
Anyhow, I agree that the whole “mother/father is still alive!?” thing is, sadly, a bit repetitive. Perhaps if it had been revealed that Leona was actually a Company founder or something it would have been more exciting, but meh. Perhaps she is? Who knows.
But otherwise, I quite liked the series. Compared to the other webisodes, this one had a nice change of pace (with the flashback nature), and the way it tied into the main storyline of the show was superb. Still, “Destiny” has to be my favourite series so far. Even so, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Santiago, Elisa and co. as well as Rachel Mills will make a (non-Echo-like) integration into the main series.
SAM: Whilst we’re speaking of other web series, you may like to post the “Hard Knox” 4-part series. It consists of the deleted scenes from 3.08 “Villains” showing the connection between Knox and Matt Parkman. They don’t work perfectly on their own, but they’re a nice bit of something to hold us over, not to mention fill in the gaps.
I’m hoping Rachel and her Mom show up in the regular series.
I think she might; Chapter 2 of the iStory is featuring Rachel’s past in the army. The Webisodes and Interactive stuff could mean she will have positive fan reaction and head into the main storyline. I wholeheartedly back it!
the webisodes are bit like the ice age, 2 parrall stories, that run sdie my side, but it semminly pionts, but intresting.
