Heroes Season 3 to Make its Debut at Comic Con?
NBC won’t be giving us our first, fresh dose of Heroes in what seems like an eternity until September 22, 2008, when the show returns for its third season with a whopping three-hour premiere, but according to net reports, Tim Kring and company may very well pull a fast one and show the Season 3 premiere earlier than September 22. The target: Comic Con 2008, which is scheduled to take place in San Diego in July, and is a prime spot for movie studios and TV networks to showcase their more fantasy/sci-fi centric shows to the masses to generate buzz. And remember, Heroes made its premiere at Comic Con during its first year, and that appearance helped to sell the show to fans.
IESB, who broke the news, has the lowdown:
After a somewhat disappointing second season, the showrunners plan to release goodies over the summer to convince the fans they are back and better than ever.
”We have to show our wares,” says exec producer Tim Kring, ”If getting buzz means spoiling some things, I’ll take buzz any day.”
Although it’s not set in stone, Kring hopes to screen the Sept. 22 season premiere of HEROES at San Diego Comic Con 2008 in July.
So — anyone live in San Diego, and can get me tickets?
Anyone? Anyone?
