In Angela's dream you see Claire being killed by Knox - the guy who can sense fear (and use it against others) and discovered that it was Peter inside the other inmates body. Once he rips her head off he quickly grabs her legs and move it away from her head. If her head was placed back on her body she would come back to life. The end of the dream she is confronted by various bad guys and then Sylar walks up behind her. She then wakes up. Claire was able to regrow her finger in one episode, but if her head is somehow destroyed then her brain would be messed up and she wouldn't have her power (which Sylar located in her brain). So it's a tough call to say if she can be killed or if she has a limit to her power. Maybe if a body part is destroyed - like if her foot was turned to ash - then her body might regenerate her foot. From the look of the scar it seems like it was made by the blade of a sword - Hiro's sword? Maybe the sword can damage the immortal ones in such a way they can't heal or come back from. I also think that Sylar unlocks the codes in HIS brain after figuring out how a power works in a person. Now if he took apart Linderman's brain (healing) he could put these people back together. Absorb their power and they don't have to die. Adam has lived for 400 years, but some fans feel that his power is to slow down aging - not to eliminate it all together.
